Letter Writing Guide

Here you can find tips on writing letters to the animals in your town:

I write one sentence letters, and get a 90% response rate

Sending a gift with your sentence,see example, will guarantee a gift in return*

Use words from the game, examples are characters names, types of fish, bugs, fossils, names of tools, etc.
Use correct Spelling and punctuation, see below example
If a word does not fit on a line that is on DO NOT hit enter and put in on the next line

Example:
Do Not Send: Today I went fishing N the river & caught A guppy
Do Send: Today I went fishing in the river and caught a guppy.

*About 90% of the time

Lol I've been sending thank you for the gift buddy & bud when I recieve a gift & letter in my game. I usually send my animal friends 100b each as my gift. IMO it's easier to give them bells [munny] then anything else I could sell or what not. [lol] Seems to b working out fine for me [so far xD]

Thanks, this is pretty useful information when you need a item badly . Gives sort of a reason why to send a letter to a computer.

as the gift i usually send the seashells that are worthless or even sometimes and trash and I usually end up getting a piece of furniture or wallpaper back

Usually I just fill up the letter with random BS. :P
Here's a letter I wrote to Mitzi once.

Quote: Hi, how are you? I haven't seen you in a while. I think we should spend more time together, and become really good friends. Why don't you come over to my house next week?

Sent an apple, got a master sword! xD
I usually like to actually fill up the whole letter, because if the animal shows it to another, REAL player, I don't want it to say, "hey i caught a guppy lolz!" Know what I mean? :P

Oh, by the way, my cat is in Animal Crossing! xP

In your inventory, simply press the letter icon at the top right of the screen (For City Folk. In Wild World, the letter panel is right there in your inventory ), and then drag and drop the item you want to send on top of the letter you've written for your cute animal recipient
