I've lost count on how many days my town has been perfect. I'm still waiting for my gold watering can also.

When I ask Pelly about my town, she says my town is in the best shape it's possibly been in, there's no room for improvement and she feels like the luckiest pelican ever to live in my town. I assume that's a perfect rating.

I think each town gets a different comment about when the town is perfect. I've seen some get "everything is peachy keen."

So, hopefully the can comes by mail.

Nope, the can will be given to you by Pelly. She tells you about a committee or group that gives away prizes for perfect towns and here, you can have one.

I actually counted the number of days, and yes, I've been getting the same "perfect" message as you. The ONLY thing I can think of that could've screwed it up is that ONE weed I found AFTER I spoke with Pelly that one day.

I've been searching for other ppl's input on what they did in their town to get their gold watering can:

- scattering flowers inside the acres, not cramping them together
- having 3 flowers in each acre
- ensuring each quarter in each acre has enough trees
etc.

so I'm gonna try those. *fingers crossed*

Really? That's good to know. I check with her everyday to see what the rating is. So maybe someday she'll just give me the watering can. I know it can't have been more than a week because my fountain isn't done yet.

I had a perfect town based soley on trees. I hadn't been playing long enough to have that many flowers for each acre and Nook was only selling 2 seeds a day. So I had five acres with zero flowers but Pelly still said my town was perfect.

I think the trees must count for more than the flowers.

Or maybe, this is what's screwing everybody up. Pelly says it's perfect when they still need more flowers, and they don't get a golden watering can...

You should have at least 6 flowers per acre.

i wuz talkin 2 pelly yesterday about da envirornment at my town n she said i hav 2 many trees in my town. do i hav 2 chop all my trees down 2 fix my town? im gonna need help from ppl lol

No, you just need to chop a few down, untill you don't have too many trees. Of course, you don't want to chop down 10 trees in one acre and leave the others untouched. I'd start by chopping 1 tree per acre, then see what Pelly says.

I am working on that goal right now. I am dividing my town up right now. Its gonna take a few days. If your town goes bad while you are working on the perfect town will something bad happen like everyone moves away?

No, they shouldn't move away. Neighbors will generally move in and out, but they usually will say something first. You can try to keep them by asking them not to move. They'll say something like, "I'm a wanderer and thinking of moving...should I move?"

The only time they leave the town without you knowing is if you haven't signed onto the game for a while. If you're gone for quite a few weeks, then the neighbors will leave. But, if you're chopping everything down and starting fresh, it's not a big deal.

I sectioned my town off and worked in each acre at a time. So, rather than clearing my whole town, I did it one at a time, or two at a time. That way, I made sure nobody left or nothing too bad happened.

P.S. Pelly just gave me my gold watering can. Yippie!

Yay, RE: the gold watering can!

I did the same thing; I sectioned off my town but then only worked on an acre or two a day, depending on how I felt and how much time I had. Trying to do too much at once can be really overwhelming and just seem impossible!
