Anyway, something I've been thinking about for awhile. Methinks something about SotW should be changed.......

DSigners really shouldn't be allowed to enter SotW with the regular members. It's really very unfair, because they're OBVIOUSLY very good at GFX (otherwise, they wouldn't be DSigners, duh), so OBVIOUSLY they're going to win. I think, they should have their own SotW, so that they're not totally left out, and then other members are given a chance.

Maybe this could include ex-DSigners as well? Of course, that'd be very complicated, but it was just a thought

But, yeah....when the Review Team had creative contests, RT members weren't allowed to enter....so why can't it be the same with DSigners?

DNA is currently working on the SOTW to make it better members.

I dont really agree with this. SOTW is fair in all ways, yes dsigners may enter the SOTW but not all the time. You act like the very many DNA ppl enter them. SOTW is fair and each participant has an equal at winning it. We, as DNA, do not enter just cause we, in the eyes of the NP memberbase, are thought as ppl that can always win.

Having a seperate SOTW for DNA is really not necessary due to a lack of activity that it will surely have. Thank you for your suggestions, though.

Again I repeat that every participant has an equal chance of winning. Review team may have limited the creative contests to only ppl that are arent on the review team but we, as DNA, dont believe in biased systems. Biased systems, as in limiting a certain event on NP to only a certain group(s) of members, for example, limiting a certain usergroup from an event.

There's not enough DNA members to actually have a SOTW for themselves.
And if anything, purple ppl participating brings more activity.

Plenty of nonDsigners have beat Dsigners before.
And average member? What?
Sotw is a competition for people who want to compete with GFX skills, and rarely, this "average" member wins. But can they?, of course. More competition, which DNA brings, makes more members enter. It's not like they're scaring members away or anything.

Once Mario Paint activity picks up, an Nsotw could work.

I think that Designers being in the competition makes us lower people strive to try to beat them and that makes us learn more. So I say it is fair.

Part of SotW is being able to compete against Dsigners and whoever else that may enter.
It's not really a win if they make it too easy.

I agree completely. I mean, it does make it challenging if they're in it, but you probably have a very slim chance of winning. I think it would be a great idea to have a separate one for them and for normal members. I hope the staff really take this into consideration.

Then why not keep the SotWs we have now with both, and then non-DNA SotWs?
It kind of lowers some people's interest when they see DSigners enter the contest, because their first thought: "Oh no, now I'm going to lose..."
This would give them a chance, outside of VS Battles, to give that a try. And then those looking for a challenge still have the FFA SotW to enter.

How's that sound?

I agree with Juggernaut.

Still the same type of issue. ACTIVITY. The only thing I see possble is if we as DNA elect to have an NSOTW. Newbie Sig of the Week for short.

That is exactly what I think every time a DSigner enters one. Good mind reading, Bakuri. And yes, sounds good.

DSigers should be aloud to enter the SOTW. The only thing that I see wrong is them winning multiple times. If a DSigner (or member - I guess) already has the award they should be able to enter, and show off their work, but not able to get voted apon.

Or: ( Betta idea here)
Once you win SOTW you go to a seperate one, for winners only. That way n00bs have a chance, and the DSigners & members who have the award get to enter also.
-> Enter SOTW
-> Win it
-> Ability to enter SOTW (Honors) - and ONLY Honors.
