well reading through this depending on what router you have and also what setup your internet service provider has set up it could be one of the following
  1. router not set up correctly
  2. wireless connection not enabled
  3. wep key
  4. router not wirless
  5. pass key
  6. you dont know much about routers (no offence)

lol, finally someone who knows a lil like me and sees what I see.

this post was just trown out there and stickied without even been reviewed and that to me is a failure by part of nw mods in charge of this section I still dont see how this refers to Wii/ds connections like someone told me b4...

If the router has a lock and you need a WEP key...then 2 things happen..

1 you already have the key..use it.. or
2 its not your router and when u try to connect to it you will need to provide a KEY you dont have/know.

so this begs the question... why this GUIDE/TUTORIAL??? tutorial for what???
if u need the key for ur neighbors router then go ask them...if its your router the u should know the key no??

Ok, chill kid. This is to find the WEP key IF YOU DONT KNOW IT.
Sometimes you go to a friends house, or your house even, and the WEP key
is just a random set of numbers, not a word, or number you set yourself. This guide tells someone how to find it. If you dont need this, then dont flame it and try to spam until it gets unstickied.
Thank You.

ok i jut typed the default gate way in the wireless tab and then i just had to log in and then on there i got my wep and it was easy as one two three so i think you should try it it goes really fast and key one is the wep key and it has to be a ten digit longwep key and then it works because i just did mine last night and that way not yours i did it my way of doing it and that is the fastest an easiest way to find your wep with out goin in to the cmd and typing all that stuff in and then ou find it and that one is way longer than this one so you should try this one it really works good and fast so do it.

I don't use a WEP. I use a wireless filter allowing only certain mac addresses.
