Help...( Wii )

For some reason, my Wii won't start up, there is no way to turn it on. The red glow on the On button is gone, and everything is plugged in correctly. It was working for a long time but just stopped, can anyone help?

Hmm... there is the possibility that it overheated. When was the last time that you played it?

Last time I played it was yesterday. Mm... the fans? They're perfect, me thinks. Don't look like they have any dust or anything like that in them.

If you've not got any light on the power led then there's a problem with your power supply.

If you can, try it on a friend's Wii to see if it powers up, if it doesn't then you've found your problem - buy a new power supply or see if Nintendo will replace it. If it powers up the other one your Wii, as M3I1K0E said, may have overheated.

Well.........if it overheated and got to a high enough temp. it may have fried either your power supply or your Wii itself (i've known people who've had it happen) my advice would be, if overheating did cause your Wii to stop working, go to like gamesotp or EB and Buy a fan for about $10, it acts as a base and just plugs into the USB port in the back, it keeps my Wii cool

This also happned to my GC. Try unplugging and re-plugging it. The GC wouldn't turn back on when the power was cut due to the surge protector. So, I called tech support and the answer was as simple as that. Or, there could be a short in the plug.

Either way, call Nintendo Tech Support. Their number is on the Manual, I believe

Well, I dont know the circumstances, but try completely unplugging it for a while. Mine did that too, but it was after a storm & the power cut off, I left it unplugged for about 20 mins & it started working again.

Yeah, I think that might be the case. Except I think it'll work right after you unplug it. It's probably just a Surge protection measure.
