HELP Wii cannot find opponents
I play Mario Kart online every day on my Wii but all of a sudden when I when I get to the point where it searches for opponents it never finds any, just keeps waiting. This happens world-wide or regional. I connect fine, select my character and cart but now cannot find opponents. My network is fine, all my computers connect perfectly, all connection tests, even on the Wii show no problems. Up until this morning everything was fine. Does anyone know what can cause this? I cannot play anybody; please help.

"Up until this morning..."? Wait a minute, exactly how early did you play? xD
Maybe it was a coincidence, and there were only full games. =/

It is not that. I have been trying all day, over 8 hours now, and cannot connect to any players. On the Nintendo Technical Support forum there is another person reporting the same issue starting today. something is wrong. I know my network is fine so I am wondering if there is a hacker eliminating players from the network or something.

Did you by any chance try to reset your Router? If not try to do so. Also, go through your system settings and confirm and test your router settings. That should fix the problem.

hmm.... sounds like wat i used to have
mine used to take 1/2hr - 2 hrs toi find opponents or it could just be the fact that there is no one online wanting to battle but that seems unlikely does this happen only in racing, battle or both |

I reset the router twice. The Wii connects and I can get into everything, just cannot get opponents. I have been playing online every day for a month. played an hour this morning with no problems. Then after lunch it cannot find opponents. i reset routher, ran diagnositics, tested every computer in the house (no problems), did many Wii connection tests with no problems. This is wierd. Also I noticed that even when my unit was off the blue disk light would turn on by itself but my unit was still off. Now my light on the front that use to be orange is now red when the unit is off.

When the disc slot is lit up it means you have a Wii Message. When your power light is Red it means Wii Connect 24 has been turned off. It should return orange again once you reboot the system.

Try buying those cans of gas that clean out keyboards. Spray some of that into your disk slot and it should work fine.
EDIT: Oops. Thought you said components. Lmao.

I've had no problems connecting at all this morning.
I'm just got into a 9 player race just now. It's definitely client side. If you've got a LAN adapter I'd suggest using that to see if it improves your connection or turn off the firewall on your router to see if that helps too. |

Guys maybe the nintendo servers for your area have problems I connected a few hours ago and all seems fine, I'm in the east coast where are u guys??? I have had this happened to me b4 but after disconnecting from WFC and trying again all worked as it should.
If u say that it has been happening after this morning " only" that could indicate a problem with WFC not ur router/internet connection or the blue light on ur wii also blowing ur wii with a can of air will not fix this either. Be patient these things happen sometimes just like ur cable/internet goes out at times. |
