Mario Kart Wii error!

Well on My Mario Kart Wii When I play online it's completley fine but whenever I try to join a friends race it won't let me race! It just says, "Unable to meet up" what wrong with it?

Does it only work for that one person or all your friends. Make sure they have you registered correctly. Try reconnecting online.

Well... is that friend in a worldwide race? If they are, then the room may be too full for you to join. But if you just want to race the friend, then you should reconnect to Wifi; this happens almost all of the time, unfortunately.

whenever that has happened to me I turn off the router for 5 mins and then retry, seems to work for me

*this was recommended action from nintendo support (turn it off and back on again is a miracle cure)

That has been happening for a while for now i suggest you just play normal races.

well if you have a wireless router just try resetting the router but if it keeps happening just keep trying as i havent really encounted this problem yet as i havent raced against friends online yet but i think you need be both registered on each others friends list thats normally the problem.

This was confirmed, since they updated the servers there is a bug in the system that Nintendo is working on fixing so it should work momentarily. All you need to do is wait at this point.

Oh so that's what's going on, well if im trying to join a friend in a room it works perfectly fine for me and im in the room but i guess i not have this problem because i brought the game 4 weeks ago or maybe im lucky
