Water, and electronics never mix!lol. I would suggest to go to a gamecrazy, or gamestop for their disc cleaning services, to remove your scratches. You also just might have scratches, or your wii scanner thing is full of dust. after trying to get some special solution for discs and trying to shine out the disc to no avail, call Nintendo. If this happens nintendo's hot-line number is : [310] - 846- 0345. There are open from monday-friday, 9 am-6 pm, pacific time. So it appears you have a couple days to evaluate your problem, until monday. good luck, hope everything works out for you!

If your Wii is still under warranty then I suggest calling Nintendo and getting it looked at ASAP. Other than that if it is not under any kind of warranty I would suggest calling your local gaming store for any suggestions on what to do if anything as they are more qualified to give those type of answers than we are.

well dont just POUR water on the disc!
you need to use a damp cotton cloth..
and wipe from the inner rim of the disc, outward in straight motions...
DONT just soak the disc with water, and DONT use any sort of disc cleaner/disc resurfacer...

but my bet would be taking it to Gamestop..
or sending it to Nintendo.
