The chat on the site has been updated if you have not read roots549's post on our holiday gifts, and updates.

The update requires you to run the newest version of Java run times for your browser. So here is a guide to the updates for common browsers and sets to get you up to date.

Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari users please follow the link to get the newest version of java for your system.

Follow the on screen instructions to install the update. After this is done your browser must be restarted for it to come into effect.

If you have issues with the online installer for Java please try the offline installer.

Offline Installer

The best way to do this is to simply reboot your computer. This will make sure any windows that might have crashed are closed and restarted as well.

Once your back up try going to chat from the chat link on the navigation bar of the site. As a note if you have chat bookmarked please follow the navigation link not your bookmark.

Making sure Java is turned on.

Internet Explorer, At&T Yahoo! browser

Click Tools > Internet Options
Click the Advanced Tab
Scroll down a little way to find Java.
Mark sure Use Java... is checked, if not check the box
Click Apply

Firefox

Click Tools > Options
Click the Content Tab
Make sure JavaScript and Java boxes are checked. Check if needed.
Click OK to save settings and leave Options window.

Opera

Click Tools > Preferences
Click the Advanced Tab
Click Content in the menu to the left
Make sure Java and JavaScript are turned on.
Restart your browser
