Need to remove Sysguard? You aren't the only one, I can promise you of that. This virus has been taking the internet by storm lately. If you feel you may be infected, I would highly recommend you conduct a Sysguard removal as soon as possible. The last thing you want to do is allow this virus to fester on your computer.
Sysguard.exe is a process found in quite a few different rouge antivirus programs. A rogue antivirus program is essentially a fake malware remover. How it works is first it sneaks on your computer typically as a trojan. This could have been from visiting a malicious website, installing infected software, or using a P2P network to download files. Once on your system it will infect the Windows registry and begin to create pop up add with "Warning!" or "DANGER" type messages.
Clicking on these pop up ads will probably start the fake malware scan. After the scan the virus will attempt to frighten you into installing the software. If you are not already aware, THIS IS A TRAP. Do not give these folks your credit card number.
In fact leaving the virus on your system can make you a victim of identity fraud. Viruses like Sysguard have the capability to use spyware and keyloggers to record sensitive information on your computer.
Conduct a Sysguard.exe Removal
• Remove all Sysguard related processes (any malicious EXE files)
• Remove any associated DLL files (Dynamic Link Library)
• Remove any dangerous .lnk files asccociated with the virus
• Go into the registry, locate and remove dangerous files in following directories
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
HKEY_CURRENT_USER
Remember that you must remove all remnants of the malware before you reboot. Otherwise the virus will simply generate the next time you boot up. These removal instructions are geared towards computer experts who know how to properly identify dangerous files. Deleting the wrong registry files can serous damage if you don't know what you are doing.
Fortunately there is a way to remove Sysguard if you a not a computer expert. With the right removal tool you can eliminate the virus in minutes. I have found one in particular that also offers real time protection to fight future threats.

Tired of viruses infecting your computer? Want to surf the web with the peace of mind that your computer is safe and secure? Get your free scan from the top virus protection and remove Sysguard.
Jim Marshall is an expert computer technician with fifteen years of experience in the industry. Since his own computer was destroyed by malicious software, he has been studying antispyware, adware, and malware systems for years. His website details the comprehensive results of this research, ranking the best antispyware and antivirus programs available.
Remove Sysguard - How to Conduct a Sysguard.exe Removal Procedure
The symptoms I had were
  • My computer shut down at random
  • My computer was running slower than usual
  • I was signed out immediately as I signed in to MSN Messenger. It stopped signing me out after the third try.
  • Whenever I tried to click on a link provided by a search engine, I was redirected to
    HTML Code:
    http://rightbulkselect.com/?q=
Followed by the words I entered in the search engine. The site you will be redirected to will be blank, with the title "Jumping"
I've scanned my computer with Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, and Sysguard.exe showed up. I was prompted to reboot my computer so that it may quarantine and/or remove the virus. After doing so, I still experienced the same symptoms. I tried scanning my computer again, but nothing showed up.
When I search in Yahoo! it shows a blank page and says 'Jumping'.
As described in the link above, most anti-virus programs can't remove it. Which is why it is recommended that you use the scan mentioned earlier.
Spyware fix
I have not tested this yet, so I don't know exactly what the procedure is for this scan.
Please review the symptoms, and check to see if you have this virus as soon as possible.

theres only two antivirus programs you can trust...that is Norton and Mcafee...those are the programs high up computer programmers/developers, like my dad, trust...and like gamer said...dont download anything that you dont know...just about anything can a virus attached to it, unless you download something like Norton, directly from the company/corp...(not talking bout the virus that are self activating and can latch on your comp when you view a certain site, which further activates the virus)+

Hmm, actually, Norton is pretty antiquated, they're virus vault is rather doesn't contain a good number of the newer recorded viruses. Mcafee is a good choice though. I monitor my own system and roll with AVG for the most part. But Shazy's tips are right, though the first thing you should do when infected by a virus of this kind is immediately disconnect from the internet. You never know who might be trying to wrest control of your pc from you. And of course, don't DL weird stuff. @_@

My iPod once started conducting a virus scan that was for windows. It was weird. I don't know if that's related but still.

I searched my whole laptop and didn't find any Sysguard.exes... does this mean I'm safe?

On a similar note, thanks for the heads up Shazy.

Wow X_x
I got one of those adware things a few days ago, though =/
My comp was going uber slow, and then I got one of those "frightening" popups. I ran a McAfee scan and it came up empty, so I just shut down my computer and let my dad deal with it the next day :P
In the meantime, I hijacked my mom's computer from her xD

But, yeah. Any of those random "YOU NEED THIS TO REMOVE VIRUSES!" popups are ALWAYS bs =/ Don't click 'em, EVER. It leads to crap like this ._.

For truth.

NOD32 keeps very up to date on virus definitions. If you have the money to purchase it, I highly recommend it. More commercial antiviruses like AVG aren't usually as effective.

Have you tried CA(computer associates.inc)? I bought it 3 years ago and it has blocked antivirus360(rouge) when it tried to install itself after I visited a bad game ROM site and has deleted the Zlob trojan, aka the "dirty" Nightmare. I think CA can prevent "Sysguard" from infecting my computer and I recommend it for anyone who thinks they might be infected.
