WiFi / Aircard

Could I use an AT&T Aircard to play WiFi? I don't have cable right now.

Imo,i doubt an AT&T aircard is Compatible with the Nintendo DS and it's wifi functions. Also, this SHOULD be in The Nintendo Technical Support Section.Ill try and find a mod to move this so your question may be answered faster.

The aircard is just a normal 3G card so it's only able to function as a card rather than an access point. If you had this plugged into a 3G router such as the Linksys WRT543G-ST then yeah it would allow you to connect your DS online by connecting to the router.

Also, if you have an access point such as the Nintendo Wi-Fi adaptor also plugged into your laptop then you could connect your DS to your laptop and it would bridge the internet connection from the aircard to your DS.

Otherwise, no.

I have a router/wireless adapter... just not cable. I only have the aircard.

If I got satellite net, could I play on DS? I know you can't on other consoles.

When you say you don't have cable, do you mean the cable to connect the router to the socket in the wall? Or do you mean you don't have a cable connection/broadband service etc.

If it's a wireless router then you can connect your DS to it... wirelessly.

Satellite connections are just the same as any other internet connections, they have their pro's and con's just like the rest. You can use a satellite connection on any console, there's no restrictions on what you can connect to the internet per say. I wouldn't recommend a satellite connection for gaming though.

I don't have cable internet here. I have everything I need for cable; I just moved here and cannot get cable. I can only get satellite or use this aircard. I only have my aircard. I want to be able to play others via DS. Is it possible to do this with an aircard if I have a router/wireless adapter.
