It is an obvious problem that members do not truly know the limit on the dimensions for their signatures in the sig space, so this thread has been created to inform everyone of the graphic restrictions and to answer the most commonly asked questions.

Avatars:

All Members: 135 x 135, 150 kb upload limit

(This should not be an issue, since the site will not allow a larger upload)

Signatures:

Regular Members:

450 x 150; single image, but the LOOK of multiple images are allowed

VIPs and Moderating Staff:

Up to 2 images allowed: 450 x 250 max for entire sig, but the look of multiple images is allowed.

Spoilers:

No images, music, videos, etc. will be allowed in spoilers. Text ONLY. Links are acceptable.

FAQs

Can my signature be 150 wide x 450 high instead of 450 wide x 150 tall?

No. Vertical tags stretch the page, length wise, unecessarily.

Does my signature HAVE to be 450 x 150 (or 450 x 250 if I am a VIP)?

Not at all! It can be 200 x 100, 400 x 50, 300 x 150 or any other combination AS LONG AS it fits INSIDE a 450 x 150 (or 450 x 250 if you're a VIP) size.

Someone made me a sig that is a few pixels too wide/high; can I still use it?

No. You will need to have them resize it.

No. The max size is the VIP allowed size of 450 x 250.

How do I know what size my signature is?

Right click on the image, choose properties and look under the "Dimensions." This will list the Width x Height in pixels for you.

My signature was replace with another signature; what happened?

If your signature does not comply with the size restrictions, here, you will see this signature, instead:

Report the person to a moderator and we'll take care of it.

What if I have more than one signature that I really, really want to show?

You have two options if this is the case. You may check out the Image Randomizer that LadyHood posted about here OR you can ask someone who knows how to animate the images for you; you can usually find these people in GFX Shops here on Nintendo Pals.

Keep in mind that inappropriate sigs and avatars will also be removed at the descretion of the moderating team. Examples of inappropriate items are things such as:

Overly graphic images or text (either sexual or violent in nature)
Images or text with graphic language
Flaming or trolling images and text

This list is not all inclusive, but may be added to as necessary. Please keep in mind that the moderating team reserves the right to decide what is and is not appropriate as they see fit.
