Battle Tower Help?

I must get 100 wins at the battle tower!
Here is my team. I need help with the moveset for Cresselia.
I actually got in on the GTS, virtually untouched with max HP IVs. Im so lucky!

Gengar
Modest
Wide Lens/Focus Sash
Hypnosis
Shadow Ball
Thunder
Focus Blast/Destiny Bond

Garchomp
Adamant
Choice Scarf
Outrage
Stone Edge
Earthquake
Fire Fang

Cresselia
Timid (yeah, I know, not the best, but its better than Rash)
Leftovers
Psychic
Ice Beam
Moonlight
Toxic/Energy Ball (it came with energy ball, don't want to waste it if not necessary)

Any help?

Ah yes, IVs:

Gengar has
4 HP
252 Special Attack
252 Speed

Garchomp has
4 HP
252 Attack
252 Speed

Cresselia:
Not EV trained yet. It looks like it was in a battle or too. Shouldn't be too devastating to the EVs. How should I EV train it?

I like a mixape lead instead of gengar, can take out more. No need for hypnosis on gengar, but thunderbolt on instead of thunder cause if you miss your gunna die. Focus Blast > Destiny Bond.. Keep Shadow ball, even psychic would work in there.

Instead of cress, a bulky sweeper could take its place. Since cress isnt really a sweeper, I personally think a dusknoir, blastoise role should be there.

Garchomp is a good choice, better as a lead. Just to pwn them, late game it can dominate. Ditch scarf and put in choice band, you will get a OHKO every time unless your stuck on outrage.

skarmory pwns the battle tower

i pwned the battle tower with

skarmory
porygon-z
and infernape/heracross/gyarados (any three are fine, i suggest the hera though, make it scarfed too)

skarmory did most of the killing

sr + spikes + whirlwind = pain

battle tower comps are dumb, they rarely had something to kill my skarmory with

porygon-z can take a hit as long as it isn't super effective, abuse this fact and switch into pz if skarm is in danger

heracross can also take a hit as long as it isn't super effective, while gyara has intimidate and dd sweep, infernape is just awesome

Have you considered Alakazam over Gengar?

And perhaps switch Cresselia to Shuckle w/ Toxic

=] it's fun. got me to ~60...

The thing about battle tower is SERIOUS luck hax
My whole team got to 70 wins until i got to crawduant with quick claw
Every turn quick claw activates and guillotine(spelling?) hit
And I lost

So no matter how good your team is you need a pokemon that was the ability sturdy that's why you should use skarmory with a sturdy nature

Since Cress is Timid you might want to run a CM set.

Cresselia Leftovers Timid
EVs: 96 HP / 252 SpA / 160 Spe
~ Calm Mind
~ Psychic
~ Moonlight
~ Charge Beam / Ice Beam / Hidden Power Fighting

But yeah there's no garenteed way to win at the Battle Tower. Even Garchomp gets owned by hax. (I was in the BT one day and I was sweeping with Brightpowder Garchomp. Sandstorm was on because of my Tyranitar lead. Their last pokemon was Gliscor. I hit with Dragon Claw and did about 2/3. Then he OHKO'd me with a BS Guillotine. Then he did the same thing to my Skarmory. :/)

Battle Tower is mostly luck after you beat the Tower Tycoon
I was sweeping through the people with a Garchomp with Lum Berry using mostly outrage but when i got to about 40 i would run into some sort of super pokemon

Either a Garchomp that is faster than mine, and kills my Garchomp with its outrage, and finish off my swampert and alazakam or charizard

Or some freaked Lickilicky with ice beam, shadow ball, power whip, and surf that is super fast and super strong

Or Snorlax with the stupid focus punch, substitute and rest and crunch

Or the worst Ursaring with facade and bulk up

and of coarse the great one-hit attacks that change the tide of battle

Yeah, my Gengar right now has Thunder, Hypnosis and Focus Blast with a Wide Lens. In this case Thunderbolt might be better. I've had several situations with this Gengar where I would have gladly replaced Focus Blast with Destiny Bond to beat a speed demon who swept my entire team.

Yeah, Cresselia may not be the best choice here, but I want to EV train it anyways. Any suggestions? I'm thinking HP and Defense, since it has 31 HP IV and 30 Defense IV.

In my experience, the Choice Scarf is better. My Garchomp was KOed several times by speedier Garchomps and such, and it almost always 1HKOes even without Choice Scarf. The boost from Choice Band isn't always even necessary.

OK, I see a lot of good suggestions. Keep it coming, and thanks!
