Pichu's Not Evolving! (In Emerald)

My Pichu is at max friendship (the lady in in Verdanturf town said so). Why hasn't it evovled yet?

Hm... all I can say is I used to train my togepi cause I wanted it to evolve. It finally evolved at Lv.35 (From Lv. 5) and it has always been used in battles.

So all that's there to say is keep fighting.

Man. I was trying to get it at it's max stats by evovling it as soon as possible.

Umm what exactally did the lady say? You may think she is saying that it is at the highest friendship but it may be that it's actually only at 2nd highest....

Also this may seem stupid for me to even suggest but is it holding an everstone? If so that is your problem. Don't even know why I'm saying this I guess to make sure that's not a possibility.

what do you mean by this exactly?

like you won't reach its max stats if you wait to evolve it?

as for why it won't evolve. try putting him into a box, taking him out, and then trying.
maybe give him a rare candy or something instead having him battle.

well. that's not how it works. you can evolve him whenever you want and still reach his max stats very easily.

EV training can even be done (and redone) at lv. 100
