Ew.

Get rid of toxic, salamence is sooo weak.

So go with this:
Salamence @ Leftovers
Timid
EVS: 4 HP/ 252 SP ATTK/ 252 SPEED.
- Fire Blast
- Hydro Pump
- Dragon Pulse
- Hidden Power Ice.

Covers alot of things.

Way better than toxic.

Why fire blast instead of Flamethrower? Ok so dragonpulse can cover dragon types and HP Ice can cover grass and flying. I wasnt so sure about toxic but this moveset is better.

Lefties are pretty useless if your Mence isn't bulky, which it's not. I'd recommend either Life Orb or Choice Specs. Add a little more oomph to your punch.

Otherwise, it's a very standard Smogonesque set that everyone's used before. In that sense, I'm not going to rate it, as there's nothing that's special about it. As far as usability goes, it's a very good special sweeper; one of the best in the game.

Keep in mind.

Mixed sweeper Salamence is a lot more destructive then that salamence

But in the case you're going for a special sweeper. Then you should definitely slap on a choice specs for extra power.

Replace Hidden power ice though because that's going to be pretty hard to breed and draco meteor is better.
Switch in use draco meteor + choice specs = MASSIVE damage then switch out

What did you say, punk????

I prefer Flamethrower to Fire Blast any day. Its reliability makes up for the less power, which often makes no difference.

And Shadow, Jima already made the Salamence with HP Ice.

shadow is saying get rid of HP Ice and put in draco meteor.
which i agree with, as HP Ice covers nothing that isn't already covered by Flamethrower/Fire Blast, Dragon Pulse, Hydro Pump

What if you switch and they do some heavy damage to your other pokemon.

Dragon Pulse doesnt take all that special attack away.

350 Sp attk x 1.5 = 525 base power.

525 power + Dragon pulse with STAB 45 or something. = Pwnage.

And you could do that multiple times since it doesnt affect your sp attack like draco meter.

Even hidden power Grass would work.

draco meteor is meant as a finisher when you're about to die anyway or as part of the hit-and-run tactic already built into specsed pokémon.

also, it still does more than dragon pulse the second time and/or you could run a white herb hold item.

Yeah I guess.

Playing Skarm/Bliss would be good here just to let them absorb the attack.

Forretress would work for defensive aswell.

Even Cresselia or Suicine could absorb and make them switch, then you just come back in.

(Assuming theres no rocks that affect your switching)

Just watch for SR if you're gonna Spec it. Stealth Rocks murder Mence, and he needs free switch-ins. I'd say go with Forry over Skarm just for the Rapid Spin.
