RMT (OU Edition)
Alright I've been testing this team on Shoddy and its looking pretty good. I need some second opinions though.
![]() Rocky the Machamp@Lum Berry Adamant 252 HP/160 Atk/96 SpD No Guard Subsistute Thunderpunch Dynamicpunch Bullet Punch Okay this thing sweeps. Can't really be statused until later in his life and kills with that STAB Dynamicpunch. Thunderpunch is for Gyarados leads and Bullet punch for killing fragile leads and weakened opponents. ![]() Sasuke the Lucario@Life orb Naughty 80 Atk/240 SpA/188 Spe Steadfast Extremespeed Close Combat HP Ice Shadow Ball Decided to try something new on this set. Close Combat ruins Blissey and non-scarfed Heatran. HP Ice destroys Dragons and Gliscor so he won't be walling me anytime soon. Shadow ball hits Ghosts and Heracross pretty damn hard too. I chose Naughty over Mild so Close Combat and Extremespeed/Bullet Punch could have that extra attack power that they want badly. I'm not sure which I should use between his priorty moves. Extremespeed has more base power than Bullet punch but Bullet Punch kills a weakened Gengar. Steadfast is so it could have a chance to boost it's speed. ![]() Incinerater the Heatran@Choice Scarf Modest 20 HP/252 SpA/236 Spe Flash Fire Lava Plume HP Grass Explosion Earth power This guy is the ONLY thing protecting me from Scizor rape. It walls Bullet Punch and X-scissor and OHKO's with Lava Plume before it can hit me with Superpower. It can also switch in on an opposing ScarfTran's Fire attack and since I know they'll switch I'll destroy the next pokemon with a boosted Lava Plume. ![]() Tsukuyomi the Cresselia@Leftovers Bold 20 HP/252 Def/236 SpD Levitate Moonlight Ice Beam Thunder Wave Reflect Makes a great wall. I come in on threats that could take down my team and paralyze them, Reflect if they're a Physical threat. ![]() Liberty the Bronzong@Leftovers Sassy 252 HP/62 Atk/104 Def/92 SpD Levitate Rest Sleep Talk Gyro Ball Earthquake Supposed to be my second Mixed wall turned out to be more of a tank. Rest and Sleep Talk give me a semi reliable recovery and Gyro Ball/Earthquake combo hits a lot hard. ![]() Tiamat the Salamence@Yache Berry Adamant 4 HP/252 Atk/252 Spe Intimidate Dragon Dance Outrage Rock Slide Earthquake Awesome sweeper. Yache berry with Intimidate allows it to not be OHKOd by Physical Ice attacks and pretty much ensures a DD. Outrage for the epicness factor and Earthquake for moar coverage. Fire Blast hits those Ice types and beats Skarmory and Tangrowth but Stone Edge can kill a max HP Gyarados after a DD.

Why not a Bold Cresseilia with Calm Mind =] ?

Dude......... I CANNOT poke a hole in this team
Lucario + Salamence have great synergy and can set up when your opponent switches out Machamp kills a ton of the most common leads but not sure how it would fare against Bronzong and Gengar Porygon-z IS an awesome revenge killer (glad to see your getting use out of it =P) Umm yeah your team has no weaknesses that I can spot 9/10

nice team.
especially like machamp. that set is so good. i love the nicknames for p-z, zong and mence :] the SPAtk on cress seems sort of a waste with only ice beam on her. and moonlight will not do much at all if your opponent has a hippowdon or tyranitar on their team since you have no way of getting rid of weather ;(

Thanks and maybe I'll put the 236 SpA on Cresselia into SpD. As for Moonlight vs Rest I didn't want another Sleep Talker because I give up 2 moveslots which I really need for Cress.
Now about Lucario.....which moves should he have? Bullet punch or Extremespeed and HP Ice or Dragon pulse?

i'd go with hp ice and extremespeed.
dragon pulse isn't going to hit anything for super-effective that you'll actually be able to outspeed and you have shadow ball for ghosts.

Pretty good and you should use HP ice and Extreme speed. They should come in handy against different things. If i were you i wouldn't be worrying about Gengars just send out porygon-z and hope he is faster xD

great team! i really cant spot any weaknesses on it... but about that Lucario i would go with Extreme speed and HP ice because dragon pulse doesnt has the best type coverage =/
anyways i really like the nicknames of your pokes specially the nick of your porygon-z, lol

If you're worried about Heracross and ghosts, You could also try Psychic. You OHKO gengar and Hera. If you're worried about dusknoir, then leave shadow ball.
I like the Machamp Set. I just don't know if it's the best lead.

Use Rock slide on Mence over Stone Edge
Its more accurate and the 30% flinch can save lives Plus I wouldn't use Fire Blast for hitting Ice types. Watch out for the only to pokémon that resist the Dragon ground combo which are Zong and Skarm. Skarm would be killed by Fire Blast no problem, But Rock move would be Balanced Zong has high enough Sp.Def to take quite a few Fire blasts but rock moves are not very effective on him But if the Zong is rather shit and is trying to bluff and use Fireproof it will be owned by an Earthquake. The best way to tell weather a zong is bluffing is to set a layer of spikes becasue he'll take damage on switch in. You may want HP Fight on PG-Z, the current moves can't hit Magnezone for more than 1/2 I'm not sire weather you would want to but youcould change the lead (I know Champ makes an awesome lead) but you could try using something more suicidal that sets up rocks/spikes has taunt and maybe explodes? Good on you for using Shadow Ball over Dark pulse on luke. If you use that on lets say a gengar and it dies there is a chance they may switch in a Bl;issey which would then be killed by Close Combat this is if you are not using Life Orb so they Don't see the Recoil on the orb and think you are usnig the specs set. Plus Ghost has better coverage against common threats things than drak pulse does. But it dosen't hit Girafarig (Huge problem that *Lols at Girafe thing*) On cress Youmay wish to decrease the Sp.Atk evs as you are using a Modest nature and don't need so many to take the Dragons now Chomp has left. Watch out for CalmCune after Rocky Dies as it will be able to absorb Cress's thunder waves and set up and "Sweep" againt your team. Your team is very good and has very nice coverage. It will do well in your fights. |
