ok, basically what everyone said + my opinion, if u choose to believe it or not

quick claw and focus band= luck, and the other person prolly has skill. if you rely on luck, it will destroy you in the future

Correct relying on gimcks alone will get u killed. But know how to use those gimmicks and when is important being prepared for your opponents gimmicks is important as well because, its not like people aren't doing that now. I mean look i see someone with leftovers i am going to try to make sure leftovers don't help to much basically what im saying is that i see my opponents item and im prepared or atleast think of something to help. It was like any fight you don't know whats up peoples sleeves until they use it but you try to be prepared as possible.. Quick claw has a chance of working but the person who is using quick claw is taking a chance of it working they coulda switched it with a more reliable item like choice scarf. But they are taking that chance. How is Replacing a item that may work with an item that may not work cheat. Im trying to say With the item comes a chance so its not cheap or thats my opinion. The chances of focus band working is slim but the chances of it working more then once is even slimmer so its not fair to be band but w.e my opinion again.

But if you did work that hard....and then someone uses quick claw...and all that work goes away....I would be pissed so much!

i was in the battle tower and lost against a pokemon because focus band worked 3 times in a row >_< annoying when something doesn't die ...

i think it should be about skill not luck

I was trying to think of a good Sun Tzu-sounding proverb, but all I can think of is the Boy Scout's motto: "BE PREPARED!"

If you had an indirect-damage move, then you'd have a win on skill, instead of a loss on luck. (Funny how that works, huh?)

If that was the case, Pokemon would just be boring and predictable. The whole point of having luck in the game is to make it more spontaneous and exciting. Yeah, luck can screw you over, but big deal, it's Pokemon.
