The "Trick" Shot

Right. I'm wondering what everyone's opinion of a trick shot is. Do you think it's fair? Is it fine to use in certain circumstances? Is it an outrage when someone pulls away the win because of it? Is there even a clear definition of it? Is it when boo or dry bones transports past the goalie and into the goal? Is it when someone flips over the goalie and takes a shot? What do you think?

my opinion of a trick shot is anything involving chipping into the goal. the teleporting and flipping stuff are dekes which, are annoying but fair. idc if someone uses a trick shot every once in awhile but if you abuse that crap the whole match then i have no respect for you. all tricks can be stopped but there are some out there which are just unfair. +, if your facing a master trickster, its pretty much impossible to block all of his shots..no matter how good your defense is; he'll eventually find a way around it, even if it is just once. to be honest, i dont know how a person can feel good by winning a match because he exploited the faults in the goalie's AI. it's like taking the pu**y's wait out imo. i mean...at least try to shoot the ball....it's like their scared to or something. but then again, i'm not a trickster...so i dunno how they think <.<.
there is one thing i hate more then glitch / trick shot abusers though..and thats goalie campers

the instart i start a ranked match and i see the DK 3 Boo team im facing i know im in for a long game.

i cant stand it when someones first line of offense, is teleporting/jumping/dissapearing. God is it too hard for you to pass the damn ball once and a while and shoot it. i hear the comeback often "Well you need better defense". shut up its near impossible to stop all attempts of the opponent charging your goalie with a speedy Boo/Toad everytime. just like DH above me stated, i dont mind when people use them scarcely, but if thats all you do then that gets me really pissed. and ontop of all that, it doesnt work all the time. maybe 1/8 tries the deke will go in, often times im up 3-0 the guy is still using the deke's to score. TAKE A HINT, i scored all my goals by passing and shooting, you on the other hand have no goals, SHOOT THE BALL!!!!!

mind you though, nothing makes me happier then to beat one of those guys, who just use trick shots to win.

Ok my opinion of a trickshot is something that just happens fast. Like Daisy appearing in the goal right when your about to attack her.
Yes i think its fair, that is their strategy, and we have our strategies.

Yeah i always get nervous when i see im up against a Daisy , Waluigi, or a whole bunch of boo's.

xD, that sounds like deke's your talking about. i was talking bout trick shots. deke's were ment to be put in the game so no matter how annoying it is...it is fair. and if done right...there pretty much made almost every attempt...maybe you just find ppl that suck at deke's, lol. there def easy to stop then trick shots though. to be honest...if none of my shots are going in and i'm down in a game, i'm probly gonna start deking some more..just to get some points up on the board. if i'm facing a trickster though...then anything goes pretty much...i'll do whatever to get some goals ._..

yea..its never easy when its a power captains with 3 boo's as sidekicks, lol, but they are possible to beat if you just find out their strategy.

btw, goalie camping is when someone is up in a game and all they do is either stand by their goalie so you wont get the ball or when they have a speed character and run around their side of the field the whole time to run out the clock. anyone who is a pu**y online does that...though its not common. you can stop it...but it might pose a bit of a challnge at times

That's a sound strategy in most real life sports, actually. I don't see why you wouldn't use it in a game.

Yeah well i hate one more thing than when people goal camp. Turn the game off. Happens to me so much for no reason! if people start loosing they turn the game off. gets on my dang nerve lol.
Yeah i hate goal camping but if you have speedy charachters then you will most likely be able to get the ball back.
Sometime i wish you could hit the goalie.

Well anyone who hits the ball into the net, with a cool way. Haha, well pretty much always is.

But when the player 'tricks' the golie, then that is a trick.

A trick shot isnt bad or anything at all. It IS just a stratagy that people use. I mean, only really good people can become pure tricksters! Like wT bug. He is a trickster master! I think being trickster is something to be proud of. A trick is like DH said. Anything to do with a chip. Now, what pisses me off, is when people do 1 or 2 tricks and call themselves a trickster. NO! You need to know at least 6-10 tricks to be called that in my book. The most popular trick is the"insta" or the mid-court chip lob thing where the goalie just swats at it. Ok, I use that as a fake out sometimes( 1 or 2 times a game if nessacary) BUT people will spam the hell out of it. They love to do it whenever you score at the get go of the next round. All I'm saying is that a REAL trickster is good at it and wont spam one damn move. I have only faced 3 people who
met my standard of a trickster.

yea...thats freaking annoying as hell....everytime after you score they just chip it form half court over his head and score again...sometimes the dam thing dont switch to the right person i want so i cant block it at times <.<
