5 Reasons Why To Buy a DSi
1. Homebrew This is probably the biggest reason to get a DSi. Why? It has a SD card slot. Instead of buying a flashcart, and buying a new one everytime a new version comes out, you can just download it to the SD card. Easy as pie. For you homebrew lovers, the DSi is like heaven. In hacking form. 2. SD Card Slot This kinda goes with reason number 1. The DSi will have a Slot for SD Cards, which makes things a whole heck-of-a lot easier. You can download stuff to put on your DSi. You can probably also download DLC onto your SD card.A memory card opens the door to so many possibilities. Let's hope Nintendo and hackers take advantage of them. 3. Music Another cool new feature about the DSi is you can listen to music on it. So what if it only reads ACC files? Firmware updates or homebrew will fix that. You can also download a free file converter, so it's nothing to complain about. With homebrew or firmware updates you'll be able to watch videos too. Yay!! 4. DSi Store This is probably the second biggest reason to get a DSi. It has a Online store!! That's freakin' awesome!! I'm guessing it will have DS ware-type games, apps, and maybe music. A online store to buy stuff...even the PSP doesn't have that. (Well, it has a store, but you have to transfer the stuff you buy to your PSP). 5. Other Features Along with the stuff I said above, the DSi has two cameras (one 0.3 and one 3.0 megapixels), bigger screens, better speakers, a built in web-browser (hopefully it's better than the one you buy for the DS Lite), and other stuff. So ya, this is my list. Kinda bad, but hey, I made it myself... (I made this list to counter the one Juggernaut posted about five reasons not to buy the DSi.) Yep. This is my list-thingy. More stuffs: We’ll not dilly-dally with an introduction; we came to lay it down, so let the down-laying commence: 1. You can hotswap carts with the Nintendo DSi, pulling out one game and dropping in another, without having to turn your system on/off. Stan64 mentioned this feature last night, but we dismissed the idea as crazy! Then we saw this short video: 2. The power button may have more power than before. Unless we’re totally reading this wrong, the power button will bring up the menu in DSWare applications, similar to the Wii’s Home button. It may also act as a reset button in DS games. 3. You can use the DSi camera to make a daily calendar album of pretty much whatever pictures you want. The idea is create a visual diary of things you see while walking around with your DSi. ![]() 4. Nintendo president Satoru Iwata has a few random ideas for future DSWare applications, such as “a Zelda calculator, an Animal Crossing clock, street maps for various large cities, or possibly a simple Tetris.” This is stuff off the top of his head rather than confirmed holiday releases, but it’s interesting to see what he has in mind for DSWare. 5. Two more visualizers have been revealed: one featuring tapping feet, and another featuring a wireframe globe surrounded by constellations. The Mario one shown below is the same visualizer we detailed not too long ago! ![]() Thanks Fury! Last edited by Kamachi : 10-23-2008 at 09:10 PM. |

but the music is only ACC so it sucks. I'm not gonna spend my time converting all my music to a different file type.

Not bad reason to buy one but I just bought my DS Lite and I do not plan on getting a DSi anytime soon. I wonder if it will have more horsepower than the DSi?
