Civilization Revolution DS differences?
What dis they take out of the DS version of Sid Meier's Civilization Revolution, if anything?
I have it for PS3, and i love it... my gf likes it too, and wouldn't mind getting it for her for DS if it's not completly crappy compared to the console/PC version. (like Spore). I greatly appreciate any comments

For what it is and what it's worth, Civilization Revolution on the DS is an excellent game. Gurrah's mentioned the specific differences so I won't bother telling you about them again. One thing that I, personally, found very different about the versions was the AI difficulty.
Civ DS can either be incredibly easy or incredibly difficult. There's really no middle ground, which can be very frustrating, especially to experienced players who are looking for more of a challenge than Cheiftan mode. It seems any difficulty setting above Cheiftan turns the AI into a strategist's nightmare capable of steam-rolling your puny civilization into dust unless you have the patience to keep restarting the game until you're provided with a resource-heavy starting area and hopefully a decent choke point where you can funnel your attackers. Obviously the DS version is not going to be as complex graphically as the others and the learning curve may be a little steeper due to the limited interface, but aside from that, Civilization Revolution DS is the single best handheld strategy experience I've ever had on the DS. |

its like a combination of Sim City and Risk.... I've heard it compared to the original Warcraft as well... Basically, you start out by choosing a civilization (egyptian, roman, german, french, american, english, spanish, russian, india, arab, and I'm prolly missing one or two) and a difficulty.
you then settle your first town and start managing the town to build or gain population or whathave you, you build armies and stuff and can eventually win through time by advancing your technology, advancing culture, advancing your economy, or dominating and taking over the other civilizations... it's great fun
