I still think that nintendo gave it something unique and fun about Spirit Tracks but were just not seeing it yet (Not talking about the train) maybe later on in the game there will be a dugeon or boss that puts or brain to the test and I look forward to seeing Sprit tracks progess later on when it's released.

And to answer people's question about Epona, think about it. Do you want a small horse on a handheld? Then the camera (which is the only thing that lost me mostly)... yeah, the camera just doesn't seem right to fit both Link and Epona. Keep Epona for the console, please.

I dont even know why this game is called Spirit Tracks because a more apt title would have been "Phantom Hourglass with trains."
Instead of a boat, we are now given a train to operate. You arent able to actually explore the game and your forced to specific train trackss set across this tiny world. You can go normal speed, fast, stop, or reverse which is all you can do with your train. You get a cannon later on which makes the train portion even worse than it already is and you have a gimmicky horn to use for the sake of being a gimmick. You cant actually enjoy a peaceful stroll down the countryside and are instead forced to shoot and kill the various pigs, birds, pirates, snowmen, etc. that attack you and your given 4 measly hits. Sure you can always get more health for your train, but you cant actually do that until the mid-point and even then, the chances of you having the rare treasure it requires to get new parts is slim to none. There are even "bomb-trains" as I call them out on the tracks that will chase you and kill you instantly. There is no way to slow these down or destroy them and more often than not you will get corned by 2 of them and die, again, because there is nothing you can do. It becomes a boring chore just to attempt to go from Point A to Point B while in your train, and 90% of the time, mostly because of bomb-trains, it ends up being Point A to Point C, than D, than E, and so on before you reach your destination. Anytime you have a passenger riding with you is annoying as well and if they get mad enough, they simply get off and your forced to pick them back up again and start the whole process over again. Didnt honk your horn? They get angry. Went to fast? They get angry. Went to slow? They get angry. These people will get angry about anything which makes the train portions even more boring, gimmicky, and pointless. The dungeons and bosses themselves are simply pathetic. There is a reason why this is rated for 10-year-olds, because these dungeons were catered to 10-year-olds. Whatever happened to the reasonably difficult dungeons from the previous games that actually made you think? In this game your brain really isnt required, especially when you can write down anything you need to know because God-forbid you cant remeber something for a few seconds. This game is also more repetitive than Phantom Hourglass was. Go do a few floors in the spirit tower, go to the main dungeon, get side tracked because you have to solve everyones problems, learn a pointless song you will never use, get inside dungeon, kill boss, rinse and repeated another 6 times and the game is over. Whoever decided that this was ever a good idea to begin with and thought it would be ingenious to bring it back again should be shot. The only redeeming quality about it being repetitive is that the primary dungeon doesnt have a timer and you dont have to repeat floors that you already cleared. The controls are also horrible. Say for instance you wanted to use the whirlwind item. You would have to open up the menu, select it, tap the icon in the corner, point in the direction you want to use it, and blow into the mic. In other words, plenty of free hits for the enemies. The same directions are the same things you have to do for the other items as well. Not the mention, the pan flute is annoying and pointless. I got tired of having the blow into the mic to use it after the first time, and than I got annoyed with it after the 30th time. The constant mic use is just annoying, gimmicky, and pointless. It would have not hindered this game to add in D-Pad controls, but no, Nintendo had to make this game for the crowd of casual gamers that think its revolutionary to have touch-screen controls that make a bad game worse than it already is. Simply put, this game was trash. It was the same un-enjoyable experience I had with Phantom Hourglass years ago and little to nothing was improved. In fact, they managed to take the same game and make it worse. Skip this garbage and go find something decent to play.
