Expert Ghosts
How do you know if you've unlocked an expert ghost?

Expert Ghosts arn't really easy to unlock. You got to race a staff ghost and win between a certain amount of time given. You won't unlock the expert staff ghost if your too early or even beat the staff too late. A simple search for IGN gamewinners etc for Expert Staff ghosts will show you a chart for the time needed to unlock them.

Umm I don't really know if it is like this but I think that after you race a ghost in time trials, it says something about you found an expert ghost if you beat the time about six seconds before the regular ghost

yea, it says "You have unlocked an expert ghost" or somthing like that, if u do unlock it, it shows it wen it shows the time u got...

I believe this is correct. When you access the one player modes of play, below the grand prix is a mode called time trials. You must race the Nintendo staff ghost and beat their time by at least 5 seconds. you will know if you beat it if after you beat it it will say "You have unlocked a fast staff ghost" then you know! They aren't easy to beat but keep trying! Good luck!
