Point evaluation is too harsh

It's behond harsh ;_;. I always end up lossing a ton of points for simple mistakes that anyone could do. Heck, in Battle I could have more points than anyone in the match and I'll still get a deduction of points because my team lossed >.<". I scored in 3rd place in a VS race with 12 people in it and I get a big fat -60 VR for being in 3rd place? What the heck!? I was in 1st the entire race and I get blue shelled last second before the finish line and I manage to get in 3rd. Talk about back stab :[. Battle mode is broken. The teams ruined everything. When you have a afw (away from wii) player on your team in a balloon battle your forced to do baby sitting duty because EVERYONE on the other team will be targeting your little afw friend. Why can't we just have 4 balloons and have the match be a survival instead of getting points? That would of been so much funner than having teams and being timed at 3 minutes D;. Discuss.

Yeah...I think the game is too harsh with points...it always seems that as soon as I get a lot of points, one bad race takes away a whole day's progress.

If it were easy to keep a 9000+ VR, it wouldn't mean anything. You lose points for 3 place only when the people who placed higher than you have a lower VR. That just makes sense, if people with a lower VR place higher than you, it implies that your VR should be lower and theirs should be a bit higher... so the points are adjusted...

It can be frustrating, but I think it works.

hahaha i'd love survival balloon..that would be awesome and i agree. doing good the whole race then when that one blue shell comes and you get 2nd, 3rd, 4th....you lose alot..ticks me of.

it is a bit harsh sometimes, but its just to make the game more challenging

I agree... but it prevents n00bs from d/c-ing just to save their VR when they screw up and get 12th...

That's happened to me so many times >_> I get points taken off because Nintendo have Disconnected me...Good thinking Nintendo >_>

As for harsh, I think it depends. I don't mind losing points when I'm beaten, it makes me play longer so I can get my points up again , but the win/loss ratio to points is was off balance.

And I agree 100% with the battle thing...I think battle should just have wins/losses rather than points, points don't work on teams.

i dont think ive gotten to the point where i loose a significant amount of points (cuz i only have 7300 VR or so), but whenever i loose big time and i loose like 80 or 100 points at a time, i just think "at least my VR hides my skill and i can catch everyone off guard", lol

They do. Once, there were 3 people in a match. I was on a team by myself while two people with 8000 VR ganged up on me. It IS broken.

I hate the points system on the Battle Mode and survival would be nicer.

Plus, the game should start ONLY when there are an even amount of players.

I've lost over 3000 vr because of d/c ... >__<
I should be over 12000! lol xD
It really ticks me off though...
Nintendo really needs to fix that. =/
