If you win becasue of Quick claw thats just luck not tactilcal thinking and planning.
Same can be said for Critical hits and being burned by Flamethrower of frozen by Ice beam but you can't prevent those.

sleep clause and freeze clause are inclusive.
although freeze is difficult to regulate, sleep clause kicks in if you have frozen an opponent's pokémon. in other words, while pokemon that use rest are not counted towards this total, frozen pokemon are. for example: say i freeze someone with Ice Beam. until that pokemon thaws, i can't use Hypnosis, but i can continue to use Ice Beam. additionally, there might be some confusion about effect spore. if a pokémon is affected by effect spore ability and is put to sleep, this counts towards the limit. however this only means you cannot use hypnosis/grass whistle/sing. for example: say my Breloom sleeps an opponent with Effect Spore. i can continue to enjoy the benefits of Effect Spore ability, but cannot use Spore to put an additional pokémon to sleep until the first one wakes up. to put it inclusively, sleep clause prohibits the use of moves specifically to put pokémon to sleep, such as Hypnosis, Grass Whistle, or Sing if an opponent's pokémon is already Asleep or Frozen. Abilities, moves such as Effect Spore, Ice Beam, Tri-Attack can still be used if opponent is asleep, but they may induce a status that triggers the clause to go into effect, removing the use of Hypnosis/Grass Whistle/Sing/Etc. also for species clause, different forms of the same pokémon are not allowed, such as Giratina Origin Forme and Giratina Another Forme, or Doexys-F and Deoxys-L. Pokémon of the same evoluationary line are okay, such as Raichu or Pikachu.

I've heard it said from someone (Mole, Jima?) that the Item clause does not include Leftovers, because it is almost a necessity on walls)
Also I vote we start calling the OHKO clause the KK clause. (KamiKaze clause)

there's usually an Item Clause (Leftovers Exception)
really item clause was made for leftovers though, so i don't see the point of removing it while still limiting everything else ;/
