I just read that the summer release for MP 3 has been pushed back. "In order to make the game perfect before release" I also have heard that Metroid for wii won't be an online game either. Does anyone know about that? After playing Metroid Prime Hunters on the DS that's kind of disappointing. I was looking forward to playing other people.

This is the article concerning the drop of the summer release. As for no online play that is word of mouth from friends. I was hoping someone hear might know more. I hope they put off the release to add online functionality.

Dang. It's not coming out till New Years. Their moving all the online games back. Oh well, I guess its for a good cause.

they r takin all of the long awaited games from us and are extending the release date it better have longer storyline and online co-op

If this were any other game that I wanted (not including Zelda) than I would be rather frustrated with the release delays.

But since it's Metroid... I'd rather them take all the time they want instead of just releasing it as quick as possible like "some" game developers *cough* that I won't be mentioning here.

The only thing I ask in return for waiting so long is that the game is as memorable and entertaining as the prior games.

Going a little off track here, but I hold the greatest respect for Nintendo in comparison to any other console company (i.e. Sony, Microsoft). Probably my greatest reason to justify this is because Nintendo is burdened, not only with making good games, but they must make games of such caliber that the players will feel as if they were back in time, in a moment where they were opening their first Nintendo Entertainment System. Because Nintendo is one of the more older console companies, most of the games that they make aren't just new, run of the mill games... essentially, they are memories from one's childhood (or teenage years, as the case may be). I'm not saying that everyone here agrees with this, or has to. I'm just stating that this is why I love Nintendo (and the games they put out) so much.

Also, I know that there are third party game developers, etc, etc... but you get my point. XD

Delaying games runs the risk of a backlash. The game play has to be great b/c everyone waited so long for it to come out. As for MP3, in my unprofessional opinion, Nintendo realizes that online play is a big deal to many Wii owners so MP3 may have been pushed back to add it on.

guess what .... your wrong... confirmed..THERE WILL BE NO ONLINE MULTIPLAYER!!! bummer.... there is content download through wii connect/24 though. they pushed it back to fix the red steel/ call of duty3 like crappy controles...... to perfect controls only... aug20 see u there..

You can do better..can't you?
Although its nothing new for them. Theyve always delayed release dates;specifically on games they know will be instant best sellers.
Especially with a game as highly anticipated as MP3!
