The game that could become the next yu-gi-oh???
Well as you may know bakugan battle brawlers came out on the 20th i couldn't wait to get my copy and if you're out you should pick it up to here's why.
Gameplay 9/10
The gameplay style is great it really does pull you in it's not and exact replica of the show but this way it's more fun. So first you start of with your screen on bottom shows where all the gatecards are and to the right of the screen you have 3 symbols bakugan gatecards and info. So at the start you lay down a gatecard automatically then you have a choice another gatecard info bakugan normally you would pick bakugan. Then after you do that it will appear on the bottom of the screen the bakugan will just sit there you need to use your ds styles to control how fast it launches and how far it launches. Your main aim is of course to land on the gatecard which is your but it doesn't really matter but before you land on your gatecard you can control your bakugan use the touchscreen to manuver it around and you can collect a few nifty things like gp up and energy up jsut to give you an extra boost. But anyway so after you land on your gatecard you will go stand your bakugan will pop out and so on. Then your opponent goes now normally your opponent is an idiot for like the first 4 hours of the game and then things start to get hard. So if your opponent lands on the gatecard your on you'll go into a battle phase. Your bakugan will pop out there bakugan will pop out and then everything turns 3D which just pulls you into the game more. So when your in your battle phase you have a choice to activate an ability card yes or no. Then after that you go into a scene where your bakugan and your opponets are head clashing then your have to do something using the touch screen to increase your gp and if ur vsing a comp then you'll basically win everytime which does take the fun out of the game and separates it more from the show. But after your character wins the attack phase comes up and he does an attack based on his type and bakugan. The attacks arn't very detailed unless your using your main bakugan then there a little better but still could have been better.
just about to send out bakugan
another great thing that i forgot to mention is that you can great your own character and he actually has things to say. He is 3d in all of the cutscene's it's really just great and really just helps you get into the game

a photo of creating your avatar.
graphics 10/10
Nintendo really pulled this off well there used there 3D animation skills to produce some great battle scene's and awsome cut scene's.

a scene where the bakugan come out of there 2d animation.
music 9/10
kind of music you would expect from a game like this. Starts of slow then as you progress into the battle music starts to heat up and when you win it's like your classic final fantasy they say a quick chant like yeah i did it and then it goes to the exp screen.
storyline 7/10
the story is okay it's you just going around doing tortaments but that can be fun because after each tortament you kinda get pumped up to see what new bakugan you've unlocked. But you start out doing the easy stuff like vsing non mains and getting bad bakugan then you will eventually get into the harder tordaments where you get to vs a couple of mains and get some sweet new bakugan. But you normally won't vs to many which is a good thing because some of them like dan and shaun can be really hard. Eventually once you progress enough you'll go into the doom dimension and you're bakugan will evolve then you beat a bad guy then it's back to real life.
The only thing that frustrated me about the story is that it is incredible short like only 5 hours long depending on how many times you lose and do other assorted activities.
replay value 10/10
it is honestly one of the best i've seen for all of those who were wondering there is a vs mode. Where you have a choice of about 36 people your guy and all of the main guys in the story like dan shaun masquerade and many many more. One of the best parts is that you can choose if you want to be hard medium or easy eg if you pick easy you'll have weak bakugan and you're main will not be evolved.
Medium is the same deal a couple stronger bakugan. Then hard where you get the evolved form of the main bakugan of that certain character. that is why i gave it a 10 because you have so many characters to use and multiplayer really makes it more fun and there is just so many bakugan.
subtotal 9/10
This is a great game for anyone who has watched the show and espically anyone that was like me and had no idea how the game worked. It's ok at the start you get to choose if you want to do a tutorial or not which is great. So in my opinion if your out and are looking for something to keep you entertained for atleast a couple of weeks pick it up or even if you're just out pick it up it is just a great game with alot of great features. if you've a person who doesn't like yu-gi-oh and those sort of games. I would suggest pick it up if your into trying new things. But if you're a real hater maybe a nice rpg would be good for you.
p.s sorry i couldn't find an image of any battle scene's
also when posting be truthful and honest tell me where i made my flaws so i can improve thxs
