Introduction

My Sims (for the DS) is the latest turn that the Sims games have ever taken and it's more like a miniature version of the Wii version. The game is also like a mix of Animal Crossing and Harvest Moon, but has a bit more customization. At the beginning, 1st you're able to make your very own custom character with many possible out-comes of eyes, eye colors and skins. (You can't change the skin or eyes afterwards, also, you can earn more clothes later in the game). You move into your new town and you must visit the mayor of the town. She will then tell you to find her son and tell him to get over at her office because she's worried sick about him, after that, the game gets started.

Gameplay

Just like Animal Crossing: Wild World, My Sims can be played with both the buttons and the stylus. In My Sims, the time of the day is displayed at the top and isn't intact with a real time clock. When you speak to people, they don't have much to say, due to the fact that speaking to them initiates a mini-game. Once said mini-game starts, you have to press the emotion buttons corresponding to the persons feelings. (ex. If one is sad, you mustn't press the laughter emotion, you should instead press the comfort or cry emotion) You also have your map located on the top screen, it's very useful for when you're lost while trying to find a certain place or special NPC. Unlike Animal Crossing: Wild World, placing furniture isn't done by hand, it's done by a grid system of squares that shows up in the Touch Screen while the upper screen displays a preview of what you're doing. Less number of furniture can be placed and only 1 object may go on top of a table, drawer, etc. Click here for a preview of the grid system. (after you select what item you want to place)

Mini-Games

There's a wide variety of mini-games that one can play to get some money and raise it's publicity interest:

1) Raquetball
2) Paragliding
3) Lei Making
4) Parachuting
5) Fishing
6) Clothes Design
7) Pattern Furniture
8) Cake Making
9) Scuba diving
10) Furniture Making

While some give you money, other's give you items that can only be gotten by making them yourself and can either be given to tourists, traded with your friends or be placed at your home.

Gameplay Footage & Sound

The sound in My Sims DS is great for this kind of game, although you may feel it being a bit repetitive since there isn't any weather system in the game, although if you get used to it, it won't bother you. Here are some gameplay videos which some of them let you experience the sound of the game:

Final Score & Opinion

My Sims DS could have done better if they had added some more stuff, Animal Crossing: Wild World is surely more fun than this because it doesn't get too repetitive. If you look at My Sims DS videos on Youtube, most of the people say that it's lame and that the Wii version is better. If they could have implemented more stuff from the Wii version, then it might have had a better turn.

-----------------------
Sorry that there's no info on the Multiplayer in my review, I haven't tried it out yet so I don't know how it works. I just thought I'd make a review for old times sake. (I haven't made one in a while and I used to do so many of these when I joined the site)
