Introduction
This game has been out for quite awhile now but it is a pretty great Wii Game. Sonic is partnered up with a genie who was found inside a ring Sonic found when he woke up, along with an ancient book. He's been granted a wish, and he's used that wish to go inside of the book to stop the evil genie from being taken out to the real world.
Gameplay
The gameplay in this game is really fun and will keep you playing forever. In Sonic and the Secret rings, you can play Adventure (one-player) and complete missions through a various number of levels. Just like the other games, you are still collecting rings. The beginning missions consist of collecting rings, to attacking enemies. After the beginning missions, the real adventure begins. Save the king and go through various challenges. The missions get more challenging as you progress. The missions may get you frustrated or confused sometimes, but you'll eventually get them. Multi-player is not really an adventure, more like Mario Party type mini-games.
8/10
Graphics
The graphics in this game are good, for being the first Sonic game ever for the Wii. The graphics really go into detail, from small jars to buildings. They go great with the game, and they do look Wii material. Besides the game graphics, there are little scenes between which show the pages of the book, with drawings of the characters. The graphics get an okay from me, SEGA did pretty good.
7/10
Sound
The music and sound effects are pretty good. Sound effects for collecting the rings are the same as the previous games, the music is pretty rockin' and will get you pumped to play it. They did a good job on creating their own tracks for the game. One thing that's not so great about the sound though is in the beginning missions, there is no music.
8/10
Pros
Fun Gameplay
Decent Graphics
Cons
No music during some missions
Multi-player is not that great.
Overall Thoughts
The game is pretty great, with only a few flaws. Multi-player could have been better. The music is awesome, but they could have put in a bit more. The graphics are good, they're not amazing, but they're good enough. I suggest this game to Sonic fans and people who get bored easily, this game will probably satisfy you.
Overall Score
This has to be one of the worst games I have , seriously, ever played.
The multi-player mode is just so horrible. It's like the game creator were drunk while they created the multi-player games! They are so boring and not even worth anyone's time. The single player story mode is completely rediculous. The actual game you must play to progress threw the story is extremely boring. Your basically just watching Sonic run and you are being shown his backside threw practially the entire game. This game gets 4 thumbs completely upside down from me. Not worth anyone's time OR money.
