Subspace As you all know, one of the main attractions of Brawl is the new 1P mode, Subspace Emissary. Basically, its Adventure mode on steroids, and I mean A LOT of steroids! It’s completely different from the any other ordinary Adventure/Story mode, let me assure you! Instead of following a linear path like in Melee, this time around you actually get a MAP Screen. What does that mean? That you can now choose which way you will go next instead of following only one, like if it was a damn Rail-shooter. Each individual stage can have lots of routes in it, and also special items, such as trophies and orange boxes that hold contents that range from Coins to 1-Up’s to damage healers. Finishing all stages 100% is virtually 50 + hours, because of all the possible hidden doors needed to be found and all orange boxes to be destroyed. Expect SSE to haunt your dreams! Basically, you have 3 modes of game play in SSE: Side-scroller, Brawl-battle, and boss battles that are much like a regular brawl, except the enemy’s health are based in HP, not as damage % as usual, so you have to get their HP all the way down to zero instead of launching bosses off-screen ( Although that's the way YOU get beat). ![]() For the biggest part, you will be playing Side-Scroller levels. Furthermore, practically all stages allow you to play SSE together with a friend, thus enhancing the fun factor and the replay too. It’s really convenient when you have those friends that never played brawl and want to play 1P mode, all you have to do is play it in co-op! Allow me to explain just what the Subspace Emissary IS: An evil entity, known only as “The Subspace Army”, seeks to absorb the world as a form to generate energy (Kind of reminds you of Silver Surfer, eh?). The problem is, of course, that it will KILL EVERYONE! So that’s when the Smash crew comes in: it’s up to you (and possibly a friend) to save the Smash World. ![]() ![]() You start out as either Mario or Kirby, but, on the course of the game, you will be able to pick different characters depending on the choices you made before. Here’s an example: In a boss fight against Petey Piranha, Peach and Zelda are held hostages in cages. Depending on which cage you damage the most, you can have either Peach or Zelda added to your character roster. Anyways, based on your choices, will have a wider variety of fighters that you can choose for most of the stages. In some fights, however, you will only be able to pick one of the 1-4 preset characters, such as the 1st fight against Primids: You can choose between Zelda, Peach, Mario, or Kirby. ![]() |

Moving on, the side-scrolling stages really shape up the further you go in the game. The first levels only feature flat stages and some pits where you must (intentionally) fall, as well as VERY easy enemies, and the final stages have features that range from a forced-scroll (Think Mushroomy Kingdom 1-1 stage, only faster) to Ferris-wheels to REALLY FAST tractor strips and spikes, as well as the toughest enemies (You probably won’t find Primids, but R.O.B.s instead). ![]() Brawl stages are that that thing you already know: Blast your foes off screen to get an epic win. Also, this is how you get hidden characters, as you fight them during your quest, and, winning, you get them to join your party. ![]() Then we have Boss Stages. The modus operandi is the same as if you usually played Master Hand: Get the Boss’ HP% down to zero and you win. Anyways, that’s just the game play aspect of it: There is still much more than meets the eye. One of the most interesting elements is the way the different characters interact, for instance, where else would you find Peach and Fox sipping hot tea on top of Meta Knight’s battleship?!? Or even better, where the HELL would you find Snake getting owned by Lucario, or even BETTER: Sonic (surprisingly) saving the all the Nintendo characters from getting owned by Tabuu. Yes this IS Smash, but it doesn’t stop there. Unexpected teams such as Samus and Pikachu, or Meta Knight and Lucario (On a side note, the Lucario and Snake CG scene is as funny as hell!) ![]() ![]() ![]() Amazing cut scenes give the game a look much like Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes; It makes SSE almost look like an interactive movie. Hell, they should make a short-film called “Super Smash Bros: Return of Tabuu”. I’d buy it. Another feature that might make die-hard game fans happy are the various references to each character’s game series: Metroid’s Ripley as one of the bad-ass bosses that you encounter, and you fight him on top of F-Zero’s Big Blue spaceship. Also, let’s not forget the appearances of levels such as the Kirby series’ battleship Halberd, and also the appearance of enemies that resemble the past of Nintendo, like Super Mario World’s Spaaks or NES’ accessory R.O.B. (Which, in this case, is also a playable character.) ![]() ![]() ![]() Then we have the awesome story made by one of the Final Fantasy series plot-makers. We would write the COMPLETE Subspace Emissary storyline, but it’s just G-HUGE ENORMOUS, so, basically: Evil entity seeks to absorb the planet’s power, and somehow bribes some of Smash World’s inhabitants, such as Ganondorf and Bowser to prevent Mario & crew from destroying their plans. Thorough the course of the events, the “baddies” turn into “allies”, such as King DeDeDe, who deliberately turned Luigi into a trophy, later helps the man in green restore health to all other characters (But that’s practically in the end of SSE). All in all, if the new Smash had the Subspace Emissary as the only mode available, We would definitely buy it anyways! The people that worked on this mode deserve to get an Emmy for the awesome story and interlace of features & characters. |

Super Smash Brothers Brawl Characters Since this was the sequal to Melee, Old favourites and new characters were featured to appear in this awsome game. Sadly some of our favourites wasnt added to the list. E.G Roy Official Character List ![]() Fan Base Character List lol ![]() Character Details Mario- Nintendo’s mascot character, first appearing in a game called Donkey Kong. A popular game among many of Nintendo’s fans, but what really set him off was Super Mario Bros. The game was released simultaneously with the NES. The side scrolling adventure would set off many sequels and have him appear in many games. He has appeared in all three Super Smash Bros. Games. In Brawl many of his moves remain the same with a few additions. Since there is many ways to customize your gameplay I’ll just give you the basic controls, WiiMote with Nunchuck. The regular B shoots a fireball. Right B, flips Mario’s cape out. This can repel projectiles and turn around foes. Up B is the Super Jump Punch. Allowing Mario to punch his foes into the air. This can also be used to save yourself from falling to your death. Down B is a new move, Mario takes out his F.L.U.D.D. and shoots it at his enemy. In order to do so Mario has to first prime it. Then you have your basic A attacks. Most of these are just punches and kicks. It’s the same for many Brawl characters so we won’t get into that much. The Final Smash for Mario is the ultimate of fireballs. It shoots out vertically doing major damage to whoever it hits. ![]() Peach- the damsel in distress. Mario’s archrival Bowser is always capturing Princess Peach. In the beginning she is shown as someone who is weak but in later releases she proves that she can fight back. Only appearing in two SSB games, it was in Melee where Peach was able to fight all out. Her popularity among fans is starting to grow as recently a game for the DS called Super Princess Peach was released. This is her first game where she is featured as the main character. ![]() Bowser- the leader and most powerful koopa in all of Mushroom Kingdom is back to fight with or against Mario. First being shown as the villain in Super Mario Bros. Bowser has almost always been there to fight against Mario. His mission in life is to dethrone Princess Peach and take over the Mushroom Kingdom. Like Peach, Bowser joined the fight in Melee showing off his massive and heavy attacks. Yoshi- first showing up in Super Mario World for the Super NES, Yoshi is there to help Mario reach his goal. There are many types of Yoshi’s each with a different color. Besides Mario, Yoshi is one of Nintendo’s favorites. He has starred in many games like Yoshi’s Story and Yoshi’s Island. He has appeared in all three SSB games. Wario- making his first appearance in Brawl, Wario is back again to fight against Mario. First showing up in Super Mario Land 2 as the villain and final boss, he is known as the anti-Mario. Wario is a greedy character always looking for a way to steal the Mushroom Kingdom valuables. Whether its coins, jewels, or anything of value he’s on his way to get it. Wario is most known today in his WarioWare series. Brawl even contains a stage based on the game. ![]() Donkey Kong- appearing to many people as Mario’s first villain, Donkey Kong spun off into its own series. Donkey Kong, or D.K. as many people say, started a popular series on the Super NES called Donkey Kong Country. Even though he hasn’t appeared in any of Mario’s top titles he is always there in games like Mario Party or Mario Kart to show his support. He did show up again in a GBA title called Mario Vs. Donkey Kong, but wasn’t really portrayed as a villain. He was just an over obsessed Mario fan. |

![]() Diddy Kong: Donkey Kong’s sidekick, more known for his speed than strength. First appearing in Donkey Kong Country, he fought alongside Donkey Kong to help get their stolen banana’s back. The next game to be released in the series was Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy’s Kong Quest. This was Diddy’s first major role in a game. Like most sidekicks, he received some of his own titles. Diddy Kong Racing on the 64 was an adventure racing game that would later be ported to the DS. Diddy is a newcomer to the Smash Brother series. ![]() Pit: Palutena’s most loyal servant, the captain of her army, and leader of her royal bodyguard. Showing up in a game called Kid Icarus on the NES and then Kid Icarus: Of Myths and Monsters on the Game Boy, Pit hasn’t received much screen time. He is a newcomer to Brawl and has appeared as a side character in many games. He was first shown as a trophy in Melee and later used in some of Wario’s mini games in WarioWare. ![]() Link- a story similar to Mario’s, Link is on a quest to rescue Princess Zelda and save the land of Hyrule. His first big hit, The Legend of Zelda, showed depth and freedom. He holds the tri-force of courage in him, which gives him the responsibility to protect it from Ganondorf. Probably one of Nintendo’s best non-Mario related character, Link grew huge in the Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time N64 game. Many re-releases of his games keeps Link alive and the journey continues as new games are released. This is his third time in Brawl, making him an original. ![]() Zelda/Sheik- a part of Hyrule’s royal family and history. Zelda is the bearer of the tri-force of wisdom. Even though she does have the ability to fight back, she is an easier target for Ganondorf and usually used as bait to bring in Link. Her alter ego Sheik is a faster and stronger version of Zelda. She uses this in the Ocarina of Time to help lead Link in the right direction. Even though she hasn’t received any games of her own yet, she plays a major role in any of the Zelda games released. This is her second appearance in SSB series. ![]() Kirby- showing up in all three SSB games, Kirby’s ability to steal opponent’s abilities is definitely a unique one. He first appeared on the NES in a game called Kirby’s Dream Land. Kirby hasn’t seen any ground breaking titles recently but nice little hits like Kirby’s Air Ride for the GC and Kirby: Squeak Squad for the DS keep him well known among newer and older fans. ![]() King Dedede- although he’s not considered an evil character, King Dedede is one of Kirby’s archrivals and manages to cause some sort of mayhem in Dream Land. He has similar fighting styles to Kirby and is able to suck in his opponents and shoot them out with powerful force. He first showed up in Kirby’s Dream Land as an enemy but not the final boss. In later games he and Kirby have teamed up to take down bigger and stronger foes. This is his first appearance in SSB series. ![]() Meta Knight: Like King Dedede, Meta Knight is another one of Kirby’s rivals, although he isn’t evil. He goes by a code of honor and usually gives Kirby a sword before a fight to be fair. Meta Knight is almost identical to Kirby in looks, but hides his face with a mask and cape. He also made his first appearance Kirby’s Dream Land and is fought unexpectedly through many of the levels. He is also new to the SSB world. |

Pikmin & Olimar- an employee of Hocotate Freight Company, that flies a ship known as the S.S. Dolphin. Captain Olimar first appeared in the GC title called Pikmin. The game started off with Olimar crashing his ship on an unknown planet. He finds creatures there called Pikmin. Olimar is able to control these Pikmin and use them to help recover his lost ship parts. Each Pikmin has a different weakness and strength. Like Red Pikmin are involnurable to fire and Blue Pikmin can swim. Olimar also uses these Pikmin as a weapon throwing them at enemies who are bigger and stronger than he is. This is his first time fighting in the SSB series. ![]() Captain Falcon- coming back to fight for a third time, Captain Falcon shows up again with his amazing strength and speed. He is a renowned bounty hunter and a successful F-Zero racer. He appears inRouter the F-Zero series as the mascot and is the only one who made it into the SSB world. He was considered the fastest playable character in Super Smash Bros. until Sonic showed up in the third installment. The first game to be released was F-Zero for the Super NES and his latest title F-Zero: GP Legend for the GBA. ![]() Falco- Fox’s friend and an expert pilot of the Arwing. Like Fox, Falco made his first appeared in Star Fox for the Super NES. During the game Falco would come in at random points to help Fox out in tough situations and then leaves again. It is said Falco leaves after Star Fox 64 because of boredom and tiredness, but makes another return during the boss fight with Andross in Star Fox Adventures for the GC. Falco has only appeared in two of the three SSB games. ![]() Ganondorf- also known as Ganon when in his demon form. Ganondorf is the main villain in most of the Zelda games. Ganondorf is the carrier of the tri-force of power. He is trying to obtain the rest of the tri-force to gain great powers to rule over Hyrule. He first appeared in The Legend of Zelda as Ganon. The name was later changed in the game A Link to the Past for the Super NES, but was then later used to describe his humanoid form in Ocarina of Time for the N64. The name Ganondorf has been used since to refer to the character's human form. Like Bowser, Ganondorf uses Princess Zelda to lure Link into his castle where they fight over the tri-forces power. He has appeared in twice in the SSB series. ![]() Jigglypuff- well known for their short tempers and ability to sing, Jigglypuff returns to fight once again. Other than Pikachu Jigglypuff is the only Pokemon to make it into all three games. With a design similar to Kirby, Jigglypuff’s round pink body is able to inflate like a balloon and drift back on stage. Being the 39th Pokemon in the series, he/she made their first appearance on Pokemon Red, Blue, and Yellow. Her singing ability has the power to put her opponents to sleep creating an opening to attack. This attack was made popular by Jigglypuff and given to many other Pokemon to use. ![]() Lucario- showing up for his first time in Brawl, Lucario is considered Mewtwo’s replacement. Lucario is known as being in the aura species of Pokemon, which gives him the ability to sense and read auras emanating from humans and other Pokémon. He can understand peoples thoughts and movements keeping him ahead of the enemy. Lucario is a newer Pokemon first being seen in Pokemon Diamond and Pearl for the DS and is a pleasant addition to the Brawl series. ![]() Luigi- Mario’s brother and sidekick. First appearing in the arcade game Mario Bros., a spin-off of Donkey Kong, Luigi was featured as the main character beside Mario. Luigi contains powers similar to Mario only he’s faster and is able to jump greater distance. He has appeared as a playable character in most of Mario’s game even becoming a hero in one of his own. Luigi’s Mansion for the GC had Luigi as the main character going in a haunted mansion to rescue Mario from King Boo’s grasp. Luigi was created similar to Mario in the beginning but now seems to be becoming faster and stronger each game. The only downfall is his weight, as Mario is now considered heavier thus causing more damage to foes. He is an unlock able character in all three SSB games. ![]() Marth- one of the main characters in the beginning of the Fire Emblem series. Many of the beginning Fire Emblem games have not yet been released out side of Japan, but the popularity of Marth and Roy in Super Smash Bros. Melee had Nintendo releasing titles starting with the seventh game. Marth is set to be featured in a Fire Emblem game for the DS, which is a remake of the first Fire Emblem game. This will be his first major role outside of Japan. He has only appeared in two of the SSB games. Marth uses the Sword of Light, Falchion as his main weapon in both the Fire Emblem games and Super Smash Bros. series. |

Tournament Mode Tournament Mode is basically the same as it was on melee. For those who haven't played it on melee, its just a tournament where you pick as many players / CPUs as you'd like. You can choose how many players per match and how many entrants there are ![]() ![]() You can either play with yourself and alot of CPUS or you can play with your friends and have either little or alot of PMs. In tournament mode you have a chance to become a champion! If you lose in a match, it will be over for you. You are allowed to watch CPUs play before or after you lose/go. If you would not like to, just click A and skip the match. I give this a 8. It's alright, If I ever get bored of playing solo and regular matches, I'll probably go to tourney mode! Multi-Man Back from Melee Multi-Man Fights are back! Multi-Man is a Battle to test your skills against multiple opponents. Since the Brawl release this new Multi-Man is enchanced. Most of you remember how the Multi-Man characters looked famuliar to the Regualr Characters. They are reborn again into a robotic form. Putting you up against a bunch of framed models that gang up on you. More exciting isthat a buddy will be able to join you in your campaign against the colorful robots from all the way across the country with online co-op. ![]() Of Coruse its a great way to beat up some wired characters and a great way to take out your agression, but good comes out of it. If you survive the 100 Multi-Man brawl a little surprise will Pop up. Its worth it, after the cheap punches, the edge hanging, and the team tags, you'll be Face to Face with Falco! In a Effort to be Victorious over him. At last, your Rewarded with a New Character to add to your Dojo List. Falco. |

One of the biggest features that made this game really enjoyable is the wifi play the game features WIFI ![]() Players can face their favourite buddies e.g Wiipal Memebers, or anyoen around the globe. ![]() Here are just a few videos of Zeo Wifi Expericnce Fans of Brawl We conducted a Questionaire to See What The Fans Think Of Brawl Interview With JSTN Did you have any previous expectations about the new upcoming game? I mainly figured that they would improve upon many of the aspects that were already in Melee. And beyond that, add several new items, characters, stages, etc etc. You never know what will or will not happen, so I was pretty open-minded as to what would be added. Did Brawl meet your personal standards? I would have to answer this with a yes. While I do believe that many people were over anticipating it (it's just a game guys!!). Many of the characters have been well made and add in their own personal twists. It's also great to have a 'storyline' this time around, from the SSE. Who did you favor among the fighters and did you think any of them stand out above any other? Ike. Just look at that guy, his power is his forte. Do you picture yourself throwing out this game one day? Hell no. If you had the opportunity to add a fighter to the roster, who one would it be? None, actually. I don't care for some of the character that were brought back added in, but I'm not going to whine about the final roster. What would you rank Brawl when comparing it to your other games? It's would be within my top 5, but I don't have a specific 'ranking' for it. ____________________________________________________________________ Interview With Kakashi 1.Did you have any previous expectations about the new upcoming game? 2.Did Brawl meet your personal standards? 3.Who did you favor among the fighters and did you think any of them stand out above any other? 4.Do you picture yourself throwing out this game one day? 5.If you had the opportunity to add a fighter to the roster, who one would it be? 6.What would you rank Brawl when comparing it to your other games? 1) Yes 2) Yes 3) Toon Link (along with Olimar and Pkmn Trainer), it's possible they might. 4) No 5) Either the Ac human, Billy Hatcher or MegaMan. 6) A perfect 10 out of 10 =D _________________________________________________________________________ Interview With ZG- Kitty Did you have any previous expectations about the new upcoming game? I did expect the ability to play co-op in VS. Anyone, but at least I can with friends =] Did Brawl meet your personal standards? It definitely did, it was just as I was going to see it as, for the most part. Who did you favor among the fighters and did you think any of them stand out above any other? Pit, definitely. I didn't think I would use him, but I looove him :] Do you picture yourself throwing out this game one day? Absolute NO. If you had the opportunity to add a fighter to the roster, who one would it be? I think that I would add Megaman, because I remember him being somewhat anticipated, I he would have a great moveset for the game. What would you rank Brawl when comparing it to your other games? 10/10 __________________________________________________________________ Interview With Yoshii Did you have any previous expectations about the new upcoming game? Well, before I didn't think Sonic wasn't in it, but when they confirmed it I was pretty happy! Did Brawl meet your personal standards? Yeah it did. I was satisfied with most of the game! Who did you favor among the fighters and did you think any of them stand out above any other? Snake. I also think he stood out above a lot of the characters because of his Final Smash. I do love his First-Person Shooter! Do you picture yourself throwing out this game one day? No, I can't this game is too amazing! If you had the opportunity to add a fighter to the roster, who one would it be? I would want to add...Bowser Jr. If they already added Diddy Kong, why not Bowser Jr.? What would you rank Brawl when comparing it to your other games? I am going to compare Brawl and Guitar Hero 3. I would rank Brawl a 9.5/10 and GH3 a 7.5/10 (I just didn't enjoy playing some of the songs) Yet again, they are two different games. I still think brawls better __________________________________________________________________ Interview with Flonne Did you have any previous expectations about the new upcoming game? Well, for Tales of Symphonia I really wanted to use Sheena again. But, now they only make appearances, that saddens me. Did Brawl meet your personal standards? Not completely. Online play is kind of lame at the moment. Too much delay and kind of laggy. Hopefully they fix that soon. Who did you favor among the fighters and did you think any of them stand out above any other? Some of them stand out. Some of them annoy me depicting by the way they battle. I basically use almost all of the characters. Do you picture yourself throwing out this game one day? Yes, yes I did. If you had the opportunity to add a fighter to the roster, who one would it be? Isaac. What would you rank Brawl when comparing it to your other games? 6/10. I'm mainly a RPG fan. |

Valult Alrite here will be talking about some sections in the vault of Super Smash Bros. Brawl. First lets start with Trophies & Stickers. In here there are 5 divided sections named Trophy Gallery, Trophy Hoard, Coin Launcher, Sticker Album, and Sticker Center. Lets start with the Trophy Gallery, it is as the name suggests, a gallery for the trophies that you have collected throughout the game in which you can view either by the series the trophy belongs to or by the type of trophy. You can read descriptions of each trophy and zoom up close and out for your veiwing pleasure. ![]() Next section we have the Trophy Hoard which is where you can veiw all of your trophies on a diorama by zooming in and out. You can also enter Diorama mode in which you can pick 4 trophies to view on a diorama of your choice. Next section we have is the Coin Launcher Here is where you can waste all of your coins that you have collected in a fun way in order to collect more trophies and stickers. This mode is kind of coin arcade machine esque- which means that it is very similar to the arcade games in which you insert a coin and it rolls into a hole or target. ![]() You can pivot the shooter into different angles and fire coins at moving targets, if u hit trophies 2 or 3 times then you win them, if u hit the moving targets that you can score stickers for your collection, there are also reflection targets that reflect your coin if u hit them. the only threat in this game are the small projectile missiles that are fired at your shooter every once in a while, these missiles dont do much except make a distracting explosion but are fun to stop by blasting a coin at them. Next section we have is the Sticker Album. Sticker Album Here you can view all of the stickers you have by name (alphabetical order) size, effects, series, count , and all of your new ones. Its a good way to learn the abilities and effects of your stickers and get a up close view of what they look like. ![]() Next section we have is the sticker Center, in which you can post stickers on a background and then take pictures of them to save either on your wii or a sd card. ![]() ![]() Another section in the vault is the stage Builder. Stage Builder Here , like the name suggests, you can build your own brawl stage to battle on from basically scratch. You can either start with a sample and build off of that, or create your own original one and save it for later use. You have different choices or features that you are able to use in this mode, if i were to go into each detail it would take too long but lets just say there is alot to pick from. ![]() After your done creating your very own stage, you can save it to a sd card or your wii for later editing, deleting, or use for brawling. ![]() |
