PokéTeams Forum FAQ

Welcome everyone to the PokéTeams. We are excited to announce these as they are different to what the gyms were and will serve as both clans and a place where merit is awarded for those who battle their way through a team defeating their leader!

All Pokémon Forum Rules apply.
  • As long you aren't blacklisted, any user can create a team, however a limit of at least 50 posts is needed, just so we know you're active!

  • Members may ONLY JOIN 2 TEAMS AT A TIME.

  • Any member of the site may challenge a Pokéteam. Even if you are a not a member of a team and even if you are the leader of an opposing team.

  • Team Leaders will organize and help their members. supply them with items, training advice, etc. your own gym thread will be used for this purpose as well as for challengers from other gyms.

  • Challengers win a Team's badge by defeating a Team leader.

  • All PokéTeams will have their own themes. When joining a team, try to find a theme that you like since you will be using that the most to defend your team.

PokéTeams Rules

Basic rules of pokemon really, all gyms will set their own rules, according to theme and what not, but these are the standard battling rules I want followed at all times:

No Hacks
Sleep Clause
OHKO Clause
Species Clause
Hax Item Clause
Self-KO Clause
Evasion Clause

For further clarification about these Check Here

Team Wars

Your team may organize a war with another team.

Each team must have at least 4 members to participate in the war. The opposing members will be paired up by a member of staff, and a win will gain your team a point. Should the war end in a draw, one of the teams leaders must battle one of the others' for a deciding battle.

You must organize these yourselves, and come to a member of staff once you have it sorted, so they can have you paired up. A thread will be made to cater for the war.

Any official multiple team war will be fully organized by a member of staff.

I hope this simple guide allows you to enjoy your time here.

If you would like to create a team, please follow these steps:

Quote:
  • You must have a theme.
Get creative! It can be anything, but it must be something that both defenders and challengers follow.
(eg: "Everyone has to use at least one Luvdisc" an acceptable theme.)

(eg: "All challengers must use Grass types and defenders can use ubers" is NOT an acceptable theme.)
  • You must post what tier(s) are usable when challenging your team:
Your theme can be a tier itself.
(eg: "Underused Gym - All battles played with Underused tier")
  • You must have at least two team Leaders start a team:
This is to ensure that the team has a strong leadership in place before it even starts.
  • You must have a badge:
Generally they are around 200x200 or less, and represent your team's theme.
Here is a list of pokémon game badges. Just make sure your badge isn't already in use.
