How to choose your kart

This Thread is going to be kind of like a Rundown of how to pick your ideal Kart by taking into consideration the stats of each kart.
There are a few ground proceedures whilst Choosing your MKDS kart. People normally struggle with which Kart to use and it normally causes a big dilemma. As well as how good a car looks, you need to consider its properties and dimensions. The cars strong and weak Points are a clear indication of what you may like about the car. (Cars have to have their bars filled halfway or more to be in my following categories) When Finally deciding which car you want to use, you must consider The following:

Items
Are you a person that likes to get good items all the time? There are several Karts that generate good items. These karts will have items as thier strong point, but may normally have weakpoints such as drifting or handling. The karts that have good item generation would tend to frequently yield better items than other karts, such as karts that are perfect for drifting, such as Superstars and Thunderbolts while you are trying to ascend the ranks from last place to first place. you will need to decide if you prefer to get the best items or not, if so, then High item yielding cars maybe be for you.

Karts That yield good items frequently:
B DASHER
STANDARD MR
STANDARD LG
STREAMLINER
ROYALE
STANDARD PC
STANDARD YS
CUCUMBER
STANDARD TD
4-WHEEL CRADLE
RAMBI RIDER
STANDARD DK
STANDARD WR
DRAGONFLY
TYRANT
STANDARD BW
POWER FLOWER
STANDARD DS
BANISHER
STANDARD DB
STANDARD WL
ZIPPER
STANDARD RB
ROB-LGS

Speed
Is maximum speed your forte? then maybe karts that have a good maximum speed level are good for you. Speed is an important component when it comes to races as it obviously helps you to win a race. Speed is based on a Karts MAXIMUM speed, this means it's speed when you have held the A button for quite some time without any disruptions like dirt or mud. High-speed Karts are probably THE most important thing to consider when it comes to choosing your perfect Kart. Choose wisely, as different speed Karts have their faults, for example, one high speed car my have high speed and drift but low handling, where as a different car may have high speed with the opposite characteristics. decide Carefully.

Karts with high speed:
B DASHER
STANDARD MR
SHOOTING STAR
POLTERGUST 4000
STANDARD LG
STREAMLINER
EGG 1
STANDARD YS
RAMBI RIDER
STANDARD DK
WILDLIFE
BRUTE
STANDARD WR
DRAGONFLY
TYRANT
STANDARD BW
HURRICANE
POWER FLOWER
STANDARD DS
LIGHT DANCER
GOLD MANTIS
STANDARD WL
ZIPPER
ROB-BLS
STANDARD RB
ROB-LGS

Acceleration
Acceleration is based on how long it takes to reach your maximum speed and how fast you recover from being hit e.g a spiny shell and other shells. It is not normal for cars to have VERY high speed and high acceleration, so you would have to generally pick between high acceleration and low speed or high speed and low acceleration. Your recovery is very important and it could make you lose a race. For instance, if your on your last lap and you get hit by a blue shell right before you cross the finish line, someone my sneak up and take first place from you. now if your kart has good acceleration, you will be able to recovery from the hit very quickly to still get first place....bad acceleration would take first place from your hands.

Karts with good acceleration:
B DASHER
STANDARD MR
SHOOTING STAR
POLTERGUST 4000
STANDARD LG
STREAMLINER
ROYALE
STANDARD PC
LIGHT TRIPPER
EGG 1
STANDARD YS
CUCUMBER
MUSHMELLOW
STANDARD TD
4-WHEEL CRADEL
POWER FLOWER
STANDARD DS
LIGHT DANCER
BANISHER
STANDARD DB
DRY BOMBER
GOLD MANTIS
STANDARD WL
ZIPPER

Weight
Heavy? Medium? Light? you pick. you have the choice to pick a heavy light or medium Character or Car. Being Light, Medium or Heavy all yield thier own strengths and weaknesses. Heavy Karts are really good for Knocking people off course in stages like Rainbow road. Medium Karts are all round and small Karts get knocked off easily but are very quick. You will need to experiment with which class of cars your best with.

Light Cars:
SHOOTING STAR
POLTERGUST 4000
EGG 1
LIGHT DANCER
MUSHMELLOW
LIGHT TRIPPER

Medium Cars:
ALL STANDARD KARTS
WILDLIFE
BRUTE
DRY BOMBER
ROB-BLS

Heavy Cars:
B DASHER
STREAMLINER
ROYALE
CUCUMBER
4-WHEEL CRADLE
RAMBI RIDER
DRAGONFLY
TYRANT
HURRICANE
BANISHER
GOLD MANTIS
ZIPPER
ROB-LGS
POWER FLOWER

Handling
Handling determines how easily a Kart can turn. Handling is good for turning around Corners without drifting. Its harder to turn around corners with Karts that have bad Handling..This is most of the time the case with big Karts.

Karts with good Handling:
STANDARD MR
SHOOTING STAR
POLTERGUST 4000
STANDARD LG
STREMLINER
EGG 1
STANDARD YS
CUCUMBER
MUSHMELLOW
STANDARD TD
4-WHELL CRADLE
BANISHER
STANDARD DB
DRY BOMBER
GOLD MANTIS
ROB-BLS
STANDARD RB
ROB-LGS

Drift
As most of you know, drifting is mainly used for Powerslides. It is the R button along with the directional buttons that provides the technique for drifting...it is then the added left right left right action that provides powerslides. Some cars are better then others when drifting around corners and with good drifting comes sharper turns.

Karts with good Drifting abilities:
STANDARD MR
SHOOTING STAR
ROYALE
STANDARD PC
LIGHT TRIPPER
MUSHMELLOW
STANDARD TD
4-WHEEL CRADEL
RAMBI RIDER
STANDARD DK
WILDLIFE
TYRANT
STANDARD BW
HURRICANE
POWER FLOWER
STANDARD DS
LIGHT DANCER
GOLD MANTIS

Well, that was the last of the Parameters, and i hope this really helps you guys decide which cars you want to use and when...maybe you want a kart for a snaking tournament? and then some other time you want a different kart for a non-snaking tournament?. Comments? Concerns? post 'em here and we can discuss them.

And For Your New Main, Make an Emblem!

Too Bad when snaking on wifi only 3 maybe 4 karts are actually useful
Good guide I guezz

Though imo i think you should put karts in certain categories if the bar thing is 3/4 of the way up, because Bdasher isnt a high top speed kart compared to the ROB BLS for example

Thanks

your quite right actually, B DASHER is at the lower end of the high speed category.
I will fix that up later, thanks for pointing that out

Mhmm, the egg is pretty Light, so it is pretty easy to knock it about with a slightly heavier Kart or with a mushroom.

Surprisingly, the dry Bomber is actually heavier than the Egg 1, which i found very odd.
