DS Mario Kart WiFi 'Snakes'

Hello there. I'm new to the forum so please forgive me if I'm posting in the wrong area. I've recently managed to get online with the Nintendo WiFi USB Dongle thing and have had some fun on Mario Kart, racing against others around the world. I've won some and lost more but usually manage to stay in touch. Today I went on and the three I raced against almost ended up lapping me. Having looked around here I realise they were 'snaking' which was very frustrating. How is snaking viewed by you DS Mario Karters? I would love to carry on enjoying races but it spoiled it for me when I obviously had no chance of keeping up. Is there any way I can ensure I race against people who don't snake?

i don't think snaking is to bad it is a skill. but i don't use it against people that don't use it.
if you want to ensure people won't snake. chose rainbow road. the most difficult stage to snake on. if you use lightning it makes it easier to snake so try to avoid using it if posible.
the best way to ensure people don't snake is if you race people you know and if you have told and agreed with them not to snake.

snaking is a skill, nough said. i myself dont snake on other ppl that can't, but i do prefer snaking races...just alot more fun imo. uh...advicewise...pick moo moo farm...like me, alot of snakers hate that track <.<. you can go and pick rainbow but dont rely on that...cuz rainbow was my best track back when i had the game...so yea...just cuz your a snaker dosent mean your not good at rainbow. o...and i would use a lightning any chance you get, lol...yes its sorta easier to snake when your small...but don't forget their going slower while under the lightning... . most ppl here prefer non-snaking races...so you should have np finding a race here

I consider snaking a skill
just try to atleast learn it
butnif you want to enjoy races non snaking then choose levels like choco island 2
choco mountain
try not to choose wide tracks like yoshi circuit.....or you will be destroyed by snakers

I prefer snaking but i have no problem whatsoever playing normally

Thanks for the kind words everyone. I must admit I've not made a serious effort to master snaking but I suspect if I did that I wouldn't be able to concentrate on the other aspects of racing!

Hope to play against some of you some time - without the snaking . As long as you go easy on a noob.

Just learn to snake as well! I did it to. With practice, it's a piece of cake. One more thing you need to know. There is a user called MrSpeed that is a cheater. NEVERNEVER trust what he says. You shouldn't respond him as well.

One more thing. MrSpeed has got Action replay, a cheating device. Never race him. I'm his classmate and I play with him. He does impossible things! Sometimes he begins the race in the final lap. He usually race swith a 600cc engine. That's right, NEVER EVER play with him.

snaking is drifting continuisly a whole lot i dont really care much about it cause i snake only on 1 player

snaking should be done against the ghost data but against people you should try skills that done give you extra boosts.

Snaking is a skill, I said enough for this topic, if you can't snake, you will lose ever in Figure 8-Circuit against very good snakers, I'm one of those snakers, I snake always and it's a skill in this game. You always can pick Rainbow Road and they must be totally crazy to snake there, it's hard to do there, or they can win you easily using the Loop ShortCut, there was a time that I used it and the Non-Snakers losed. But not all people use that SC, (it's super hard) so pick Rainbow Road to have fun without crazy Snakers ^^.
