It depends who you are talking about. Snakers just power-slide through the whole track to get speed boosts if that's what you're talking about. Maybe you don't power-slide. Power-slide by holding the R button and wiggle your wheels and you'll get a mini-speed boost.

Yeah, it is much easier to power-slide in the other MK games. Well, I think this is because the DS is smaller.

well you see i do practice i have managed to familiarize myself with almost every track and have learned when to and how to powerslide around certain corners effeciently while getting the boosts. let you know i don't snake.

yeh i can of do what distin said tri diffent ways to turn on each side so i get better

well i guess mastering the turns, timing and the boosts are a part of the ravcing strategy you also need to figure out where to put certain items in which will slow your opponents down such as when you go aound a corner place a banana peel down as you are making that turn or throw a green shell behind ya or ahead(ahead of your opponent) of you depending on what place you are in cause it will help to disrupt the set path they decided to take. it really is all about knowing when and how to time everything in the game. once you nailed all those aspects of the game can you truly be able to keep up with the other racers.

well most people who are really good spend days of playing time getting triple stars on all tracks and all 7 sets of missions and beating all staff ghosts so they are obviously awesome. but other people just now what karts and char. go best with each track. then there are people who just cheat or are just cheap with snaking

The best people at the highest level of competition snake at a very high rate. They can also PRB, or Prolong Rocket Boost. When they do this they can snake through off road terrian without worrying about slowing down. I'd suggest learning it if you run into a snaker, lest they destroy you with their tactics.

Or if you just don't want to play other snakers, that's fine as well. Lol

Well... I know that snakers are kinda annoying but I think that everyone can be like that with practice. I thought I was good: I snaked; I had 3 star ranking; I had beaten all the staff ghosts... But i suck online because those that snake very well are nerds and don't have a real life! And, of course, there are the hackers! So I defend that there shouldn't be snakers or hackers, just good old racing, no drift. Thats the real competition!
