MKDS Snaking

Does anyone know why people who can snake in MKDS does? Why cant everyone just play the game normal and how its supposed to be played? Snaking ruins the fun out off the game and its annoying, I dont know why peopl do it. I dont unless I see people doing it first, because I like to have fun in video games....DO YOU ALL?

i snake i just an advanced way of racing it helps if you learn i snake and it helps me a lot cause i usually have gap it also helps characters that are light accelerate faster and it backs up if your kart has low chance of getting good weapons

Anyway, I snake in mkds, and theres no problem in that. Nintendo didnt have a problem with it when the game was out (y'know when this game was popular, 06-07 anyone?), just the people.

But meh really, normal? Who says whats normal for a game? Idk I look at the manual and it tells me the controls, but i just dont see where it says how i should play ;.; I mean where does it say how you should play any game?

Snaking may or may not ruin the game for everyone. Personally for me when im in a good match with snakers its fun and competitive, and isn't THAT what MK is about? But not everyone will agree with me. Thats why I say it may or may not ruin it...maybe you should do this too. (Because not everyone agrees with you >_>)

Ok people snake because it is the fastest way to finish the race simple as that. All snaking is, is just powerslides on a straightaway...I mean is that bad?...No...its perfectly fine. Anyone can do it, and anyone can learn how to do it. The point is to get to the finish line first, and snaking does that, so why not use it?

Even you say you snake, when you see someone snakes. Well thats a reason, they dont want to be left in the dust, you want to win, so you improved your chances of winning by snaking, nothing wrong with that ._.

But meh, this topic is about 2 years too late, snaking is already accepted as apart of its gameplay and no one really cares about it, except well you ._.
No use in complaining about it, just snake >_>

When you powerslide on a straightaway
You press and hold R to start a drift then you press left then right till you see the red sparks, then you release R, and start drifting to the opposite side.

The path looks like a snake, hence the name snaking ._.

i dont snake because its cheating, especially the people are losing to another person without snaking and then start snaking to win, thats just cheap in my mind, also there is a reason nintendo made it impossible to snake in mkwii

I really dont understand how snaking is cheating, I dont understand how its cheap either ._.

And really?, did someone from Nintendo say that snaking in mkds was the direct reason for changing the style of MT's in Mk:Wii?

Everybody i know who played MKDS, gave up snaking when MKW came out.
