AC:WW Myths!

I've been playing Animal Crossing now for quite a long time and a lot of the time you can come across various rumours and mysteries about Animal Crossing and i've typed this up to list some of the main myths in the game.

Animal Island
This is one of the most famous myths i've heard of:

To get to Animal Island you have to visit 4 friend's towns and give 50 fossils to Tom Nook. He will give a whistle that calls Kapp'n and he will take you to an island where various new fruit are grown and new villagers live.

Visit Nooks After Hours
There was a rumour going around that you were able to see Tom Nooks in his PJs and holding a teddy bear in Tom Nooks after Nooks had closed. However this is false and this feature has only appeared in the Japanese Animal Forest version.

This was how to do it:

Go behind Nook's store between Midnight and 2:00 AM. Then hit the back of the store with a shovel 3 times. Then hit the door. You will then be able to go in and see Tom Nook in pajamas holding a teddy bear.

Resetti's House
I actually attempted this myth and I failed. This can only happen in the Japanese Animal Forest version of Animal Crossing. To visit Resetti's house you would have to:

Go around the town hitting rocks with your shovel until a rock breaks. There will be a hole. Jump into the hole and you will be in Resetti's house!

Villagers In Trees
if you hit one of the trees in your town with a shovel then a villager will drop down with an embarrassed expression on their face.

This is false.

Villager Gardeners
You can make a animal at your town take care of flowers. Just plant about 4 flowers around their house. The next day, you may see a animal with a can in their hand. That means that they're taking care of those flowers. And sometimes they will plant more flowers around their house! And if you see a dead flower, leave it alone, because the next day it will be back alive, proving that the animals are watering them. This also makes weeds appear less, and sometimes the weeds are replaced by flowers! It appears the animals also take out some weeds for you and plant flowers at random spots.

Your villagers will never water flowers, plant more or pick weeds sadly.

Bell Trees
There has been some stories about Bell Trees but it is possible to grow them. I have a couple in my town. It's to do with chance and luck! The more bells you bury the greater chance!

It doesn't matter how many bells you plant because if the Bell Tree is succesful then it will always grow 3 bags of 30,000 bells. However after the bells are harvested the Bell tree will function as a normal tree and will not sprout any Bells.

Rafflesia
In order to get rid of a Rafflesia you only need to remove all of the weeds from one of the acres. Not the whole town.

There is also no such thing as a Golden Rafflesia.

Final Upgrade
Once you've payed off all of your loan you will get a yard for your house!
This is incorrect.

Tanning!
Some people have different ideas about "Tanning" in AC:WW.
Here are the Rules:
You can only tan at the end of July, August and the beginning of September.
It is possible for your character to tan if he/she is wearing accessories.
Your character can tan whilst your DS is in "Sleep Mode".
It's possible to tan anywhere in your town aslong as it's outside.

Own Your Own Shop

No, it's impossible to own a shop in any Animal Crossing game at the moment... Maybe in the future it could become possible.

Hybridizing Trees
Aparently it's been said that it's possible to hybridize trees and make lime and banana trees.

This isn't true though. However it would be quite cool if there was banana trees.

Some of the myths which I noted only appear in the Japanese version of the game for N64.

I never knew there was an AC for N64, that's pretty cool. As for the myths, I have heard most of these myself, I was hoping some of them would be true!

Yeah I knew about the bell trees, when i get the bells from rocks I always plant the 100 bell item, the rest i keep.

I know, from personal experiance, that if you plant 99,000 bells (with a golden shovel), then it will grow into a Bell Tree everytime. That always works for me! I have a lot of them!
