I just got my animal crossing ds a week ago. It seems pretty cool. I was wondering do the trees ever change at fall? Like orange to red. To look like fall and stuff. And can you pick pumpkins? I was wondering if you get to trick or treat Me and one of my friends was wondering. Thanks.

Yes, the trees and grass do change. But since the game has smaller memory than the GameCube and Wii versions, most events and holidays aren't available. There actually aren't any pumpkins in Wild World, but there are two types of Pumpkins in the Wii version. (ACCF, there's a jack-o-lantern and a Pumpkin hat) And since Halloween isn't available in the DS version, you can't Trick-or-Treat, unless you make it up as a minigame.

Aw. No pumpkins? Thats all right. Thats cool that at least the trees change. I really hope animal crossing producers make a new animal crossing. And they could have more additions. This game is still great simulation though. I like how you can plant trees, and such. I just wish my wifi wasnt broken!! Oh well. Thank you for the reply though. I will look forward to fall which is right around the corner.
Oh yeah, my favorite character is Sparks so far. The little purple squirrel with the lightning bolt. Hes really funny. I think all the characters have some cool sides. I also like horse girl.
