Welcome Everyone to the latest information on the greatest music game ever...Guitar Hero: World Tour! Yes, i did notice all the threads around the place with lists of plausible songs etc. So i decided to make a thread on the latest information. I will attempt to update this thread as much as i can and if anyone has any new information from a reliable source please inform me and i'll add it to the list. Cheers Keithy. To use the contents simply search (CTRL+F) the 4-letter code next to the name. Contents: 1.00 General Information------------[GINF] ---1.01 NTSC Information-----------[NTSC] ---1.02 PAL Information-------------[PALI] ---1.03 Rumored Information--------[RINF] 2.00 Confirmed Songs and other info-[CSON] ---2.01 Rumored Songs-------------[RSON] 3.00 Videos and links---------------[VLIN] 4.00 In Conclusion------------------[ICON] ---General Information [GINF]--- Guitar Hero: World tour is set to be one of the best games of all time! I personally have not been so hyped for a game like this for a long time...believe me. Ok, lets get started. Guitar Hero: World tour is set to stun the world and easily top rock bands sales globally. The game is going to come bundled with a guitar, drums and a microphone. (these are also sold separately and the game is compatible with the GH3 guitar). The game will allow users to create new songs, including drums, rhythm guitar, lead guitar and bass guitar, However without vocals due to copyright restraints. These created songs can be uploaded to the internet and downloaded by other users globally. The songs can be saved to either the Wii's Memory or a SD Card. The fourth installment on home consoles introduces a new difficulty level (beginner). Battle of the bands has also been introduced in the game and will allow up to 4 people at any one wii play against another 4 people online. The new guitar that comes with a rhythm strip which allows you to tap on the guitar instead of strumming it also has sliding techniques. () The drums in guitar hero: world tour are very ergonomic and feel like the real thing. (). A player on drums will activate Star Power by striking both cymbal pads on the controller at the same time. Because of velocity-sensitive drums, drummers will get special armored notes, that will give better score if they're hit harder then few before it. The drummer will also have special sections of songs open for drum solos, emphasized by in-game choreography that focuses on the drummer. Boss battles also return from GH3 and GHAS but there is more battling and less powering up involved. Guitar Hero: World Tour is more customizable then ever before. You can create a rocker (similar to create a skater in the tony hawk series) and Create your instruments (similar to create a deck in tony hawk). There are endless possibilities in creating both rocker and instuments. As mentioned before custom songs are created rather easily and IGN stated that they could create a near perfect version of "smells like teen spirit" by Nirvana. In addition to custom songs Downloadable content has been confirmed for the Wii. When songs are stored on the wii or SD cards they can be played in regular modes within the game and can be added to playlists in the "Rock Archive" area. ---NTSC Information [NTSC]--- Guitar Hero: World tour is set for release in North America and other NTSC regions on the 26th of October this year! ---PAL Information [PALI]--- Unfortunately there is no set date for the PAL regions as of yet but it will be released in the last quarter of 2008. ---Rumored Information [RINF]--- ***Coming Soon*** ---Confirmed Songs and other information [CSON] IGN reports that the game will feature over 85 songs. Downloadable content will be available through the in-game store and will include full album downloads and more regular releases compared to Guitar Hero III. Project director Brian Blight claims that they have "a pretty even split between the '80s, '90s, and classic rock" with a "good amount of emerging bands". The following table lists songs that have been confirmed by activision or other very reliable sources to be in the game. Song ↓-------------------------------Artist ↓ "Are You Gonna Go My Way"------------Lenny Kravitz "Everlong"------------------------------Foo Fighters "Hot for Teacher"-----------------------Van Halen "Never Too Late"-----------------------Answer The Answer "One Armed Scissor"--------------------At The Drive-In "Purple Haze" (Live)---------------------Jimi Hendrix "Rebel Yell"-----------------------------Billy Idol "Santeria"-------------------------------Sublime "Wind Cries Mary,The Wind Cries Mary"---Jimi Hendrix In addition to the above confirmed songs, additions bands have been stated to be in the game. Two additional bands have been confirmed for the game from the Game Informer preview: The Eagles, and Linkin Park. The Game Informer preview also suggests that Dream Theater may be included. A leak from a market research firm also mentioned that the game would feature The Doors, The Smashing Pumpkins, Korn, System of a Down, Ozzy Osbourne, Interpol and Muse. Blink 182's "Dammit" was also featured in a video showcasing the game's drum set featuring Travis Barker doing motion capture for the game. The video also featured Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith along with The Police drummer Stewart Copeland commenting on the performance of the prototype drum set. NOFX have also stated at a recent show that their song "Soul Doubt" would be in the game. ---Rumored Songs [RSON]--- There are plenty at the moment and some "rumored" set lists going around.
