Maybe they would make a game that happened after Link's lifetime, or before it, to show us how Ganondorf came to be the way he was in OoT or something.

I honestly can't see this happening though. I'm really hoping that they announce the new LoZ game tomorrow!!

They wouldn't ever give back story if you ask me. Hell, there isn't even any real concrete evidence that certain Zeldas are direct sequels to others. You can assume pretty well, but not 100% with evidence.

Second, if it did, it'd have to go through the same approach as Luigi's Mansion happened. Where you were of needing to save Link.

Lastly, Tingle's Something-Fruity-Rose-Garden-Rupee-Land? I mean that at least did not lead Link I think. Not sure if it had him.

Well, in one of the CD-i Zelda games, Link was a NPC, while you actually played as Zelda, and there's also those 2 Tingle games for the DS, but I would like to see a Zelda game with a different character. Sorta like how the characters always change in each Final Fantasy game.

Very true now that you think about it... With that in mind, there certainly will not be any LoZ games without Link. None of the games are a direct continuation from the others.

She was referenced. Besides, she was really just the setting for the stories of which she was a part of. Nintendo just did things right for Majora's Mask.

Also. Don't want "Link" in the Zelda, name your profile something else.

But not IN the game...anyways, there is a difference between not adding Link and not adding Zelda, anyways....EVERY Legend of Zelda game should have Link in it.

I don't know why they would not because Zelda games are awesome if you get a link game also then that would be awesome so that is why I think we need one for the wii don't you ?

While I don't think Link would ever not be in a Legend of Zelda game, the idea of a co-op game is something I've been thinking for a while now. Like, a game where one player is adult Link using the wii remote and a "young Link" little brother that uses the DS connected to it.

Oh, as for sequels: We know Wind Waker is a sequel to the Ocarina of Time adult Link timeline because it is referenced in the opening and Twilight Princess is a sequel to the Ocarina of Time young Link's story time because it's referenced in the sage's story.

I don't think the introduction really references to it. It says the Hero defeated the beast and never returned right? Thus leading to the sages (I think) flooding the world. It's been a while since I've played it so I might be wrong.

And I suppose you have a point with Twilight Princess, but I thought he was banished into the Temple of Time in Ocarina of Time, not the Twilight World. Once again, been a while so the sages might not have mentioned where to at all anyway.

Plus doesn't he kill a sage in Twilight Princess?
