LoZ without Link???

If you are talking about gannodorf, he did kill a sage(or whatever those things in the Twilight Princess sand temple were.) Also he was banished into the twilight world I believe in TP and some other place in Ocarina, but I'm not sure if it was the temple.

Also, on topic, I would like to say that they might could do that and make it work, but I dont see why they would. I mean if you have a character who is the face of a series why would you trash him. It wouldnt make more people buy it(more likely less people would).

I actually think it's possible, but not without Link. Sheik could, perhaps, be the star of the next Zelda game, taking place within Ocarina of Time. But, the way I see it, all Sheik could possibly do is timed events, like most of the game would be timed, and you would have to race through the familiar temples/places to get into place to teach Link the next song or give/hide him the next BIG item in the game. Side quests would include helping villagers, Gorons and Zoras alike, and many other things.

Though, I see this as being maybe a WiiWare title more than an actual game. But it sounds like an awesome idea, doesn't it?

Zelda without link is a horrible idea UNLESS they make it as link not having a pass down link and he somehow gets a boy from the real world or twilight world to do his job like ganon+zant and ganon will have a new apprentice and at the end of the game u get to play as real link against ganon crazy idea

Right, but did he kill a sage at the end of Ocarina of Time?

Grim, something along the lines of how Wind Waker Link was just honoring the past Link, but then became the Hero of Time himself? Just, replace Link with some brown-haired scrawny kid?

No he didnt. Unless I'm mistaken the sages and zelda just inprisoned him, he didnt kill anyone.

Also the only way I could ever see a new zelda without link is if link was somehow a big part as everyone says. Yet mabye he wouldnt have to be in the story. How would it sound if Nintendo came out with a game that happened before the flood of hryule, in which link was not there, but someone who thought he was link tried to save Hyrule. I remeber reading that somewhere, but obviously it was fake.

Since "Link" just represents you, and you can change his name, and he has only a little personality, I'd say making a game without Link has already happened. I've never played a Zelda game with "Link" because I always change his name to my name.

So, if the next LoZ kept to the same formula as all other Zelda game, it can introduce someone completely new and it would still be considered "Link".

Except for Ocarina of Time Majora's Mask, those are the same Link and Wind Waker and Phantom Hourglass have the same Link.

Well they look the same but they are different! Lol they are just the chosen ones that the gods of all those people picked x3! Like in wind waker > _ >.... That little dude wasn't the same guy as the older ones. Lol....
