Could anyone see that ever happening???

I can actually see it happening. Replacing Link with a female would be really cool but then the story would be really different. Or maybe keep a male as the main hero but make it more ninja-like. Like using ninja stars and not bombs and using different colored shirts like black to blend in during the night.

It's probably never going to happen though....

Well, I've heard they're going to make a MGS5 without Solid Snake...but, a LOZ without Link?....No....just no.

srsly this would never happen...the point fo LoZ is Zelda being kidnapped by a evil monster in most cases like PH and link has to go rescue her...now if you dont mind, elaborate on how the main plot of most of the zelda games would be if link wasnt in them...without link..we have no LoZ~!

Well the only case in where Link would not be the lead is if there was some sort of spin-off (like what did Sheik do those seven years I wonder?). Link would never be just not there, as he always has a role to play in the story, but at this point I don't think they're going to stray that far from the formula.

I would not want a ninja-esque male lead character either. Incorporate stealth elements (like they did in Wind Waker) perhaps, but not a full out kunai/star chucking guy.

Well what if it was two people...say link and some other person. The other person could actually do something unlike the past "helpers" who only talk to you about stuff you already know. Then if that works out maybe then can drop link for one game and the other person can take links place......

I could see Link getting a playable partner, or a co-op partner for a revolutionary 2-player Zelda adventure in 3-D, but switching out Link entirely?

That's like making a Mario game without a Mario character.XXDD

hey dont have to keep link...by any means. As long as the game is the same (weapons, storyline, enemies), the game will stay good. It doesnt really matter what Link looks like, or what they call him, it willl still be the good ole LoZ. Just like what they're doing with MGS. It will be the same game, just the main character isnt Snake. Its Raiden (or something along those lines...)
It will be kinda weird, but I think I could see this happening in the future.

Well I was actually talking to my brother about the whole concept of making Zelda a multiplayer 3D adventure and I wouldn't even mind if the 2nd player was just a clone of Link or someone else but it would be a fantastic experience. The whole incorporation of the GBA multiplayer aspect during the Gamecube era was okay (I had fun wasting my brother's well perserved rupees as an annoying and helpful Tingle icon in WW

) but it would be great to just be able to play the story seriously with at least two people playing... split-screen or online or whatever. <3

I still do enjoy the one player adventure though, I don't really mind either way. It'll be interesting to see what they decide to do with the next console based Zelda... We'll just have to wait and see.

Yeah....but, to me...it just isn't MGS if Snake isn't in the game....I bet half the reason why people play is just because of Solid Snake...

i would like to see a more modern-age zelda. but zelda still needs the girl being terriorized by an evildoer as the guy in green goes off to save her and the world
