Metroid: Other M

In all honesty, this could be a little iffy. They're going for something really different. Starting a new sub-series for Metroid, which involves a new story, could disappoint some people. And likely involved new gameplay as well. So, if it is, I'm gonna call some people may be super pissed about the story.

Nonetheless, graphically it looks better yet from Corruption, and it looks like it'll involve Motion+ based on all the new things we'll be doing. It looks like it might be incorporating some third-person action quite a bit. That or they just wanted to flaunt it.

Right. They're making quite some changes to the gameplay and it could start leading to a downfall. Personally this is what I think is happening to Sega and the Sonic series.

Yeah seems like they are taking a big turn for the series and hopefully they don't mess it up.

No not rly

you can't compare metroid which has been proven to be played well in 3rd

against sonic which wasnt made for 3d games for the fact they suck so badly
and cant even get a camera angle that works


Metroid in 3rd person can be played easily rly with lock on
and it seems to be a mix of FPS and TPS

yeah, but you see the problem with sega and the sonic series is that the changes in the gameplay only make the game less exciting. Everything new that they add is to distract and slow down the player, like swords, guns, ect. As for this new Metroid, let's not forget that this is Team Ninja we're talking about; they know what they're doing. The gameplay will be good. As for story,...well, only time will tell.

That looks ok, but the graphics arent as good as Corruption... They set a standard with that, and im not sure if this will meet it...

Holy crap, man. This really caught me by surprise, and judging from the video, it looks like there's some 3rd person action in there. Maybe some Ninja Gaiden type of gameplay?

I think Nintendo just dropped their nuke.

I see what you guys mean. However, hopefully you get my point that there is still something that Nintendo could do to make people go "wait a minute, this isn't good, really."

But in order for us to actually start making reasonable opinions, we need some real info.

prime didn't fail and that definitely broke from the norm of the series before it.
