I haven't heard and/or read much on this. but it seems interesting! It doesn't surprise me that much though. Nintendo always seems to bring out some surprise! ;x

Yeah, but a lot of times it fails (IMO).

Nintendo, and the the companies did the right thing. When the Wii/PS3/360 first came out, dis you notice that there were only a few in each store? They did this to keep the systems in high demand. The less systems out at once, would mean more people craving them, and allowing the company stock of hardware to last longer. Also, the more people wait, the more they get excited about it. People that go around saying "OH EM EFFING GEE! I want a WII. And look at all this cool stuff you can buy for it!

Then Nintendo makes THAT much more money. Now imagine a large percent of the population doing this. The 3 companies will follow this pattern until the demand ends (I dont see this happening for a while) And once that demand is gone, they will begin "leaking info" on the new system(s) that are already finished, and playable. (though they won't be on he market for a while)
So a new big system? Not for a while.
BUT!!! Whe nthe time does come, there will be a new 360 1st.

Yeah, that was right for the wii, however the PS3 was pretty easy to find in a short period of time.. I think that is partly because it was so expensive. Also the 360 came out way before the other systems ...either way it is annoying when they don't send enough copies of the systems to enough stores ...

The new wii might be a big improvement seeing as how one of its main issues was that its graphics where little better than that of the Gamecube. It will obviously bring out new exclusive games in much loved serieses such as Zelda, Metroid, and Mario of course which will make old time fans ready to buy it and its price will probably be lower than the competition anyway. I just really hope they make a different cortrol system because the wiimote and nunchuck were kinda dissapointing and one sided in my opinion. I think the new wii may also be better because I'd say Nintendo probably has a bigger budget to work with seeing as how the Wii's sales vastly outdid that of the Gamecube.

I am hoping for a new control system too... If you are going to play a game pick up a controller... not a remote

LOL good one XD. But yeah, the Wii has some awkward gaming controls. I'm not a fan of them, I still love my GCN controllers. Both me and my brother use them when we used to play Brawl together.

Nintendo went for a cheap affordable system because they realized that if they tried to cram too much into their console, the Law of Diminishing Return states that at a certain point, they would lose more and more money for every new thing they put in. You can kinda see the effects on the other consoles. The motion control aspect was actually implemented after they decided to make a low-costing console.

Also, I'm not quite sure what "one-sided" means when it comes to the controls, but the basic Wii remote and nunchuck set-up is fine, at least I think so, and the addition to the Wii Motion Plus will finally push motion control gaming into the right step it needs to be in. Granted, not all games are going to need, the next Smash Bros for instance won't need Motion +, but games like Red Steel 2 are going to be vastly superior to other games because of it.
