Custom Stage Showcasing 411

Alright, cause I think it's important to have this. Read this and you should have all the information you need to showcase your custom Brawl stages. If I missed anything please let me know and I'll add it back

Part 1: Places to store your Brawl stages and screenshots
If you want to be a successful Brawl Stage Showcaser, you should have screenshots for your stages, at least one that shows the whole stage looks like. (More info. on that later)

Also since not everyone has an empty Wii and Brawl Friend Code list, you should make a SD card file of you stage so anyone can get to it.

Here is a list of some sites that will upload your screen shots:

Part 2: Creating the screenshot of your Brawl Stage
If you are going to showcase your Brawl stages, then your going to need a screenshot, or (in the case of Tepxic) a You Tube video of your stage. Either way, you need to make sure you get the whole stage in your screen shot so everyone knows what they're looking at. So I don't think that Brawl's snapshot mode is the best idea.

I'm sure there is a more effecient way but this is the best way I know if you have a camera w/ an SD card.

1. Start up your Super Smash Brothers Brawl game and start up a "Special Brawl"
   
2. In "Special Brawl", go to camera and turn it on "fixed" so you can see the whole stage on your TV.
   
3. When your selecting characters turn all items off, start a time Brawl with no time limit, and if you have advance options turn off the damage % meter. This will lower the amount of "things" in the way.
   
4. Start a Brawl with any two chacters you'll like and make them both human players if you can that way you can position the characters either in a nice pose or where they won't get in the way of the shot.
   
5. Have the Brawl take place on the stage you want to take the screenshot of and begin.
   
6. Position the characters where you want and take a picture of the TV with your digital camera. (If your aiming for good quailtiy this may take a few times.)
   
7. End the Brawl and repeat steps 4-6 for each stage you want to take a screen shot of.
   
8. Once you got all your screen shots with your camera, upload them to your computer and then upload them from your computer to the image uploading site of your choice. (See the list of links in Part 1, for places to upload images to)
   
9. Find the share image link of your image, go to your Stage Showcase thread, and copy & paste it onto your thread. (If your image link doesn't have around it, highlight the adress and click on instert image. You'll need to go into advance editing for this opition)

For people using Brawl's screenshot mode, save your screenshots to an SD card and use a site like the one below to turn the Brawl data into a JPG file.

Then just start from step 8 and upload it to an image holding site and copy and follow step 9.

Part 3: Creating a SD card link
Although it's not as nessary as the screenshot part of this lesson, it will save you time if you create an SD card link instead of adding every person who wants your stage to your Wii and Brawl FC list. In order to do this though you will need an SD card of your own.
One last thing if this is your first time doing this I HIGHLY RECOMEND that you COPY the stage to the SD card in case if you mess up big time either by renaming the file (BIG NO,NO) or doing something else like forget to safely remove your SD card or something like that.

1. Go to your Super Smash Brothers Brawl game and save the stage to your SD card. (Be very careful to remember what order the stages are if you do more than one at a time.)
   
2. Put the SD card into your computer and save it onto your computer. It will have a ackward file name so if you need to remember what stage it is, name a folder and put the file in that folder. DO NOT rename the file. If you do, then the Brawl game won't recongize the file.
   
3. Once you completed this step for all your stage files chose a site that can upload your files. (Once again see Part 1 for a list of sites) Follow the site's procedure of uploading files and add some kind of detail that will remind you what stage your uploading right after you upload so you don't forget. Once again DO NOT rename the file! Repeat this step for each of your Brawl stages.
   
4. Finally, pretend you are downloading your own stage. Use the web adress you get when you are, or just about to download the stage as your SD card link. Copy this web adress and go to your Brawl Stage profile thread. Click on "Insert Link" (you'll need to go into advance edit) and paste your web adress here after deleting the http:// that appears as default.

**Edit: After doing this for quite some time I've realized that if you want to save time you can skip step number to and upload them directly to the site through your SD card.

Save your changes and Wa la! An SD card link.

One last thing for the people downloading the Brawl Stages to their SD cards.....

Well you could make your own Stage Showcase thread in this topic. Then follow the steps in the first post and then you should be good....

Not a camera, I just took the picture on Brawl, saved to SD, and uploaded on computer.

There's your problem. Brawl data is saved under .bin which is not recognized by image places. If your going to use Brawl data I would recomend this site which will turn Brawl data into a JPG file which you can then upload to one of the image sites.

Your all welcome that's what this thread is for. Now that I think of it, I think I'll add that Brawl screen to JPG part to my image part of my tutorial since some people are going to use that. I want to do everything possible to make this thread good enough to be a sticky.
