#49 The episode where EVERYTHING CHANGES and junk

Notes: Yes, I just broke my own comic. I got rid of the color (It takes DAYS to apply, and I'm busy), but I've made the designs a LOT cooler. Sure, some may miss the 'lollipop' design, but how am I supposed to get better at drawing if I keep going back to it every week? If it REALLY bugs you how I got rid of the color and old design, then go ahead and say so. Who knows? I might change it back.

Anyway, next week marks Jay and Josh's 50th cartoon, and Halloween is in two days. DON'T expect any special suprises on either of those days. I have nothing planned. Yeah... Anyway, leave comments, suggestions, critisisms, and whatevah. Ciao!

PPPPS: I have a paper worth 25% of my grade due tomorrow.

Anyway, I'm very impressed here, this jump is similar to the one that I made, giving my characters necks and shoulders. Great job. But now that you have switched to the new style, you must work hard to improve on the look of it. (No offense) I'm not gonna point out exactly what it is that needs work for the females that caught my attention because I'm sure kids are on this website. (Enough said, I'm sure) Great Job thouigh.

Well the redesigns are nice but I'm not sure if the lack of color is worth it.... but now your people actually look like people and my drawing designs have yet to change over the years.. (Minus some minor details that I think have happened over time.)

We'll have to see how things work without color before I can give an actual verdict.

Good evening...
For this grand Hallow's Eve, I drew a series of pictures depicting my characters as characters from Tim Burton's classic "The Nightmare Before Christmas". Jay was Lock, Ava Shock, Josh Barrel, Katie Sandy Claws, and I the greatest Disney villan ever, Oogie Boogie. They turned out awesome, but I don't feel like inking them. Maybe next year, as a kind of look back or something.

Instead, here's a picture of me resisting the temptations of the Halloween candy I passed out.


...Wait, I said that I WASN'T doing anything for Halloween, didn't I? Yeah, I lied. It's what I do. Anyway, Episode 50 of Jay and Josh on Thursday, and it WON'T be super special awesome. Just saying. Now ciao!

You've should of done reverse trick or treating, it's a blast! You don't have to wait to people to come to your door, you go to the people (door, hallway, wherever they happen to be.)

#50 Someone needs to find Katie RITE NAO

Notes: Yeah, that's right. We got talking cookies in MAH cartoon. So, WOOHOO! I actually made it to fifty comics without going insane! I happen to really like how this one turned out, despite the obvious mistakes that my pen made. So, I think we all missed the cookie, and he/she may return later in the series, despite already being eaten. How, you may ask? With the magic of loose plot-holes and sheer laziness. All right, I'll leave you guys to leave comments, suggestions, critisisms, and while you're at it, go ahead and tell me your favorite episode thus far. Blog's on the front page. Ciao!

[Instead of regular PS's, today we bring you trivia about the making of Jay and Josh, the likes of which you never wanted to hear in the first place]
PS:

The cartoon got its starts in a college rule notebook, starring three characters who beat each other senseless for 80 pages.

PPS:

Jay and Josh were named after myself and my cousin, because we always seemed to find a way to get along despite being entire opposites.

PPPS:

The third character was designed after my now ex-girlfriend. I decided to turn the trio into a duo right before creating the series (And a month before breaking up with her). All in all, I'd say I made a good call.

PPPPS:

Jay and Josh has always been made using one or two pencils, a pen, and the exact same metal ruler for every single episode.

PPPPPS:

Ava and Katie are odd, they really just sprang out of nowhere. Their basic designs were to bear slight resemblence to Jay and Josh, respectively. Ava is named after an old friend of mine, making Katie the only main character without a name inspired by a real person.

PPPPPPS:

Jay and Josh is saved onto Tinypic.com literally moments before an episode is put into a post. Most episodes have obvious mistakes that I only see after posting in the thread.
