Just follow these few rules and we'll get along just fine ;D



Blood and Gore:
Keep it tasteful guys, none of that manhunt stuff, keep blood to an absolute minimum...In the words of the great Solphins..."If you are going to cut someone's head, make a rainbow come out"



Swearing:
Although there are some words that I will allow (hell, damn, crap) none of that mess...sorry Sam...



Constructive Criticism:
If you have any beef whatsoever with a comic, don't start arguments. Constructive criticism is good, but make it useful. If I feel that you are just being a D-bag, I will delete your post. Don't argue on threads, keep it on PMs/Comments.

Risky Business:
None of that either, that means no nudity, or porn-talk...remember, kids come here.

Plagiarism:
Comics must be the artists OWN WORK you can make sprite comics/comics from pre-drawn pictures, but you (or your team) must write the material for it. If you do make a sprite/predrawn comic, put a link where you got the sprites/drawings from somewhere on the comic please.

If you have any problem whatsoever with the way I do things, please PM me and we can discuss it peacefully. Don't take it to any threads, and don't bring anyone else into it.

I guess you have a point there never have been written rules in the past... (They've always been asumed that you ask a creator before using a character in your comic)

Well if they are giving constructive criticism then no, we shouldn't ban negative comments.

Only harsh comments that arent giving any help at all should be deleted.

Bad Example:

Quote: Your Comic really sucks, and you cant draw!

Good Example:

Quote: This comic was alright, I didnt really like your speech bubble placement. Also you could work on spending a bit more time drawing your comics, since they look a bit rushed.

Umm... care to give an example, because I'm still a little uncertain of what you are saying. If you mean do they have to originate from this site, then the answer is no, as long as you were the one to originally make it.

Also, the fact this section is in Mario Paint doesn't mean anything other than the fact it is in Mario Paint. The comics do not have to have anything to do with or dealing with Mario Paint rules as far as I know.

This is all just coming from someone who hangs out in this section a lot so we'll probably need iNako's say for a final answer.

Hmm,ok,because I was wondering if the comics had to be made off Mario Paint.I make comics myself for my school newspaper and I was hoping I would be able to post them up on these forums for fun.

The thing is,they are made from another program and not Mario Paint.So to put my question in to simpler terms "Do the comics have to originate from a Mario Paint Program?Or could you use any program you want?"

As you said,I guess I need iNako's say for a final answer.

Oh, now I get it. Mario Paint is NOT a program, (to my knowledge), it's just a section we use to catergoize artisy stuff. In fact the only person I know in here who uses regular Paint, (let alone "Mario Paint"), is Fyree. The rest of just either use Gimp, Photoshop, handraw, or a combination of the three. In fact I doubt any one in the non-comic sections of Mario Paint section even uses Mario Paint.

Honestly I forgotten there was even a game called Mario Paint until you mention it.

So no need to wait for a mod say it. You do not have to use Mario Paint in the Mario Paint section. You can use any form of medium you like.... except anything that might involve killing other people in the process. XD
