Time for the October edition Creative Contest! What we want you guys to write about this month is of one of your best experiences here on Nintendo Pals! It could be anything from making new friends to winning a tournament/competition, or maybe even becoming a member of our awesome staff.

We need to get at least 4 or more entries this time round so go for it! And just to make the prospect even more charming, the Winner gets the juicy Stellar Article Award!

Now lets get creative! Oh and remember and adhere to the conditions below.

Amanda Hugnkiss

Alas, this is my CREEPY October story of a real life story here on Nintendo Pals. So i'm about to leave the chatroom untill an administrator snuck up on me... I was changing.. I couldn't help it... I was changing to the Amanda Huggnkiss!! There was a hitch in the plan though, I quickly turned back to Steevo Weevo as it happened Long ago. I told my friend shade about it who didn't take it seriously, just laughed saying I was a man to Hug and Kiss. That wasn't it though, as I changed I kept getting this urge. An urge to change BACK to Amanda Huggnkiss.

The next day, everyone denied of changing me. I blamed plloi as he was there at the time, yet he denied it too. Two weeks after that I couldn't help my urge. I requested to turn BACK into Amanda Huggnkiss and I did it. I was amanda huggnkiss again and as some people laughed at me, the rest were scared of me. Amanda never wanted to be scary, she was proper and loved everyone. Ever since then I always turn into Amanda Huggnkiss in the chatroom and talk to people no matter what they say. It's been a good time talking to other people making amanda huggnkiss jokes. Shade gets a kick out of it too.

Now i'm living amanda huggnkiss life to the fullest. I still scare people unaware of my true identity... The Steevo! Amanda Huggnkiss makes me like Nintendo Pals even more so in a way it's helping me, while creeping other people out! It's a great experience knowing that I will come back during halloween and sneak up on EVERYONE!! Mwuahahahahahaha! Thank you.

Well mines is not going to be focusing on one single moment on the site necessarily, but it is going to be focusing on three important months, or the first three real months that I was active on this site, which happened to be some of the most fun I've ever had in a long time, and one of the better experiences that have happened to me for awhile now. This site did a hell of a lot for me, it holds really fun times that I will never forget, and it got me into several different things... but the one I am going to be focusing on is brawl... and how it contributed to me enjoying the game so much.

Back when this site was named Nintendo Worlds, Reinhart was still the root Admin, and Brawl was fresh and new going into its third month since its release, I was truly addicted to that game for awhile.. It was so fun for me, being that it was a new Super Smash Bros which was my favorite series at the time, being that my Wii finally had a reason to be overly played, and being able to play with friends and have the fun I hadn't had since the release of Melee... but after two months I started to realize how I really didn't have many people to play with besides one of my friends on my roster, with whom I played 12 hours a day at times because we were so addicted.. Anyways, one of my friends, my referrer and a member on this site Devil told me about how good this site was in March; however I never felt there was much point coming so I pretty much abandoned my account and didn’t really sign on much. One day I decided that I needed a challenge on brawl (during this time, I was really bored and no one on my friend list was even relatively good compared to me), and because of that I felt that I needed to see if this site had anyone worthy of my time.

I typed in Haven1110 in the username section (lol my name was Haven1110 back then), typed in my password and then checked the brawl section... There was a tournament being held by Solphins (a Mini-Mod at that time), and it was more of a league section. I felt this was a good place to start off, so I joined and my first opponent if I remember was a member who is now known today as Drew on NP. I beat him 2-0 with my secondary’s, it was a good game but Drew was still learning during this time. My next challenge was Cal194, now known as Cal.. he was an Olimar main and I felt like I could underestimate him so I used Mario first… big mistake, he beats me and then I use Pit.. My mom gets in the way during the match and I lose (however it was a legit win anyways) but because I was upset at my loss I begged Cal to give me one more rematch, and he was really kind and mature to the point where he actually did give me a rematch (Cal didn’t have to do this of course, I am very grateful for him being kind towards my immature attitude), and I use Lucas and beat him.. He was still kind enough to accept the loss and I thank him for that. Next up was greetest, and I beat his Pit with my secondary’s 2-0.

After him however I fought one of the bigger named brawlers in the site, a great brawler named Edogg… This man was not only the best brawler I faced at that time, but the first friend I made on NP. Me and him have the most epic of matches, resulting in 2-1 my victory, and we really enjoyed playing each other and talked a bit.. My name starts being spread around a bit now, and then I fought the guy who was the second, if not first best on NP at that time.. 007. Because he was bored and I was the first one there, he fought me and honestly he really scared me.. but I won barely and he was surprised and decided to tell the best brawler on the site, the King of Boos to face me as well. I was worried honestly but luckily the King of Boos was too busy to fight me at that time (or thought I was nothing.. I don’t care though lol), and later after Solphins tournament had sadly failed and after pretty much beating all of the major brawlers on the site, I felt I needed to face the King of Boos and see if I could claim the title as best on the site.. Greetest however made a thread that actually got me recognized.. the Top 25 brawlers when it was actually in it’s prime.

Since there were only 24 people I took the 25th spot, and then fought a person who literally changed my entire brawl life, I’llworkyou or the guy who is now known as NaPPy. He underestimated me since I mained Pit, I three stocked his G&W, and then he uses Snake and I beat him in a close match. He honestly was amazed of my talent, and said he wanted a rematch lol.. Soon that guy would get me into competitive brawl, tournaments, finding out about the big names, allisbrawl and etc.. but that’s another story. After that he tells me to fight his friend, Ninja Star (now known as NiNJa), who was even better than him. Me and Ninja had an epic match, and became really good friends quickly. I then fight a guy named corporateclone in the gold section on the Top 25, beat him 2-0, get challenged by SoraKurisu 2-0, I beat him, and then I fight 007 for his #2 spot and beat him 2-0 in two sets (one was a warm-up). It was time to fight the King of Boos… We fought at night that day, first match he wins.. second I win, third he predicts my ledge pattern and gets the F-Smash out.. we were both at 120% and it could of gone either way, and was honestly my second closest set ever ( My first was with ADHD, best Diddy Kong in the world).. I was sad that I lost, but honored that I did so well.

I soon enter the 11th Brawl tournament.. The King of Boos joins and I expected a rematch from him in the final round.. but something weird happens.. Ninja Star beats the King of Boos in a set, I was surprised and scared… but ready for anything. As expected, I make it into the finals of that tournament, and Ninja does too. Our set was super close, but using all the MK practice I got from him and the King of Boos, I beat him and get the first place award.. It was an amazing tournament, and by now I had done so much in the brawl area that I became recognized as one of the Top brawlers on the site. By now, many people started talking to me now that I wasn’t a nobody, I had a rightful spot as a Fellowship Legionaire in the Fellowship of the Brawl clan, I knew so many people and had so many friends on my friend list to play with every day.. every time I was bored, I always knew I could go on Nintendo Worlds or go on brawl and play with one of my 64 active friends, and brawl had never been so fun before.

Those 3 months really got me into brawl, changed a lot for me and got me active in the forum area in general.. I met a lot of good people because of the brawl and NW.. and I will never forget it. These people have honestly done a lot for me, whether it be making my day good, joke around with me, help me with my problems (the beginning of my 10th grade was one of the most depressing moments of my life, for reasons I will not explain), and I honestly don’t know what my life would be like if it wasn’t for the site and the people I met..

Honestly by now I probably sound like the biggest loser ever lmao, considering I dedicated a summer to brawl and a internet forums, but it honestly helped and those times were great, and even though this site doesn’t feel the same compared to the times I spent in its prime, I will never forget the people and great moments I had on here. NiNJa, NaPPy, Air-Mario, King of Boos, 007, Edogg, Shazy, c.Hood, ShadowX, Rosaru, LadyHood, SilentAngel, Vio, Drew, Ness*, DH, and many of the other people I met on this grand site.. thank you for being the coolest interwebz people ever. That was the story of how my time on NP began, and that time led to some of the more interesting things I have seen for a long time.

A striving member, a growing community. When I first joined this site, I was just looking for some friend codes and didn't expect to get much else out of it. Months passed and I didn't log on, then came Brawl. It was a month or two until I remembered that there was a site where I could get friend codes. May 22, 2008. Since then, I've changed as a person and grown attached to this community. I started out clan happy with bad grammar. As time passed, I ended up getting into a lot of flame wars for my opinions and morals. Though, I was usually outnumbered and ended up having to endure the flame. Later on, I started to wonder about some of the decisions staff made. There were times when I thought some were questionable. Unfortunately, my clan-mates did too. They started bashing on one of the admins irrationally. I braced myself and took action in what was going to be the last flame war that clan would ever see. Although, I questioned staff at times, their actions were just inexcusable. As usual, I was outnumbered, but this time, someone lent me a hand. I logged on the next day, expecting the usual forum antics.

It wasn't long before I was greeted with this message.
"shazy... i have been looking for you."

"shazy?"
"Yes?"
"there you are...
i have a job for you."
"Alright"
"to be the clan minimod."

A feeling like none other. Overwhelmed by excitement. Shaking with unparalleled joy. I couldn't believe what just happened.
"are you happy?"
"Yes, very"
Unfortunately, my clan-mates didn't feel the same way. Most came to my profile and left negative comments. When I went to reply to the comments I received, someone else had already been there. Been to the profiles of each member that had left me a negative comment. The admin who promoted me was also defending me from this wave of discouragement. The clan was deleted, and a new thread was made in it's place. This time, I wasn't dealt with an injustice. I had finally been given the chance to clean up the clans.
To be given a privilege of this magnitude, one might think my qualms would have been alleviated. Unfortunately, this wasn't the case. While I was happy to be a moderator, I couldn't help but feel even more worried about the decisions being made. My promotion was untimely and influenced by irrelevant factors. What also hit me hard was one of my best friends getting banned. Although, I hadn't been given all the details, I felt it was a bit too much to permanently silence him. Then came the living embodiment of my nightmares. Related to a staff member and having the support of half the site. Making assumptions about everything and demeaning others while he's at it. Soon enough, a conflict arose between us. He challenged my moderation. The duty given to me was simple. Clean the clans that contain conflict and vulgar language. It seemed reasonable to me since this site is E for Everyone. He challenged me again, not my moderation, but something else.

People change. Whether it be a small change, or a significant change, they still change. People cheered him on, and threw flame at me. Just as I had been given the power to correct injustices, this man came to me with kryptonite.
Since that day, I got an ominous feeling upon logging in.

June 13th
"Is it today?" I wondered.

While enduring the aftermath of yesterday's incident, I wondered when my time would come.

June 14th
I asked myself the same question.

Just a few negative comments that day.
Things died down. It wasn't until about a week later that it finally happened.

Clan Moderating Position

As I read through the PM, I saw it. I saw what I needed to see.
