Goldeneye was a Great game on N64 but why remake it give me a new one altogether,But they can leave the Golden Gun in the game 1 shot kills im there already folks

I know it was EPIC on N64--too bad it'd never be on VC(the N64 version)

Apparently "Nintendo, not Rare, signed the deal for the movie tie-in, then called on Rare as the developer. This means that Nintendo retains the rights"

I'm not sure how reliable the website I got this from is though.

That's sorta true, I think Rare owns the rights to Goldeneye 64 but is now owned by Micro$oft, while Nintendo owns the actual game, but the problem is that MGM owns the legal rights to the James Bond series, while Activision currently holds the contracts for James Bond games.

So basically, Goldeneye is in a big licensing mess, and none of the companies have come to an agreement about releasing a VC / XBLA version of the original.......yet.
