If they avoid making Gimmicks and focus more on their old roots they won't screw up hopefully...

I really don't know what to think about this. Remember how excited we got about Unleashed? We had our hopes up, and the game (in my opinion, my apologies to all Sonic Unleashed fans) was quite utterly terrible. Really, in all honesty, I'm still happy with Rush, Advance, and even the Genesis and Mastersystem games for my 2D Sonic fix. So I'll just see how this turns out, but won't hold my breath about it.

Also SuperSonic, Sonic Adventure is my favorite game of all time, and I prefer it over Genesis Sonic, and even OoT. I guess it just goes to show there will never be a Sonic game that everyone will like.

Whoa I did not understand one thing in that post.. I feel sorry for the school that graduates you..

Anyway I feel bad to say Sonic will always be 4 miles behind, not matter how fast he is Mario will always be one step ahead.
When has a famous video game IP who has made itself at home in the 3D world made a comeback to 2D?
I don't think this will be as big as SEGA is making it out to be, I hope SEGA can prove me wrong though.

I am VERY......VERY excited about this game. I don't care if Sega slips in a stupid gimmick like they've done with recent Sonic games. As long as they stick to the promise that it'll be 2D, go ahead, Sega. Give him a sword, make him turn into a werehog at night, AND throw in a kazillion playable idiots. I'll still be happy with this one.

Hmm, there seems to have been a bit of a misunderstanding somewhere with this "needlemouse" site. x]
It appears to be just a fanmade site (that's been around for a while) by two guys that have been working on their own 2D Sonic project, and it's just a coincidence that Sega happen to have announced their own game now, and someone has stumbled across that site thinking it's an official Sega thing. :P
