Famitsu scans in, turns out it's a DS game.

I'm disappointed it's not a full console sequel, but it's better than nothing.

Glad it's coming to the DS...it seems that it where a game like Okami is best suited.

Painting with the stylus will be very good and hopefully accurate. Graphics look great for DS. I hope that it can live up to the masterpiece which is the original.

The full title for upcoming DS Okami game is Okamiden: Chisaki Taiyou, and the title takes place a few months after the PlayStation 2 original and features a new wolf named Chibiterasu.

Gameplay is similar to the PS2 version where players will draw out characters with the in-game brush. However, the DS title will obviously use the Touch Pen.

The original Okami designer Hideki Kamiya is not involved with the title as he has left Capcom. Instead, the title is being produced by Ace Attorney Investigations producer Motohide Eshiro and directed by Kuniomi Matsu************************a, who directed the Wii port of Okami. According to Matsu************************a, the reason why the game is on the DS is that Capcom wants more people to experience the world of Okami.

The title is currently 25 percent finished and expected for release in 2010.

Bit worried about the new designer to be honest, but it would take some doing to mess up such a winning formula, especially since it does seem quite suited to DS. Can't wait to see how the controls and such work.

Bringing more people into the world of Okami sounds good too, hopefully it will get a bigger fanbase on DS, then that can pave way for a new home console game.
