3.0:Features Co-Op:
Campaign Co-Op
Play Co-Op through campaign levels you can experience in Single Player, but with up to three others (four-player online, or two-player local split-screen). As soon as we got Campaign mode up-and-running, we starting building it out further and one way to do that was with Competitive Co-Op...
Competitive Co-Op
It's Campaign Co-Op, but with a very important twist: you play cooperatively through single-player campaign levels, while competing with your partners for points. Each kill will award you with points; headshots and other more difficult feats are worth more than a basic kill, you go on streaks to create point multipliers, and squad mechanics also award points (such as reviving a downed teammate). There is a score board now, and at the end of the match there are Match Bonuses as you'd expect. What's more, is that you are earning XP (experience points) – any XP earned in Co-Op will add to your global rank, which translates to XP and unlocks in Competitive Multiplayer. So before playing Competitive Multiplayer, if you gained 10 levels in Co-Op, you would have all your level 10 unlocks when you logged into Multiplayer (level 10 weapons, perks, attachments, etc). Multiplayer Additions:
-More Guns:
Including a flamethrower and a bayonet.
-More Grenades:
Including Molotov Cocktails, Tabun nerve-gas, and signal flares.
-More Maps:
Almost 40 maps to choose from ranging from small to large
-More Perks:
Applied Perks can reduce weapon overheats, increase dexterity, and improve tank/turret performance. As for the new: Shades shield your eyes from flashbangs, Flak Jacket keeps pesky ‘nade kills to a minimum, and Satchel Charge is... well, BOOM!
-More Custom Slots
-More Modes:
You shouldn’t even have to ask about Free-For-All and Deathmatch. They’re not going anywhere. You’re getting plenty of new ways to play competitively, like Team Deathmatch, Hardcore HQ, Multi-Bombe Search and Destroy and best of all, the triumphant return of Capture the Flag. Source
Wii-Specific
Developers Treyarch have commented that their Wii version of Call of Duty 5: World at War will be closer to the HD graphics of Xbox 360/PS3 than any other franchise has come so far. All variations of the game are running on the same engine that powered CoD 4.
Skeptics will be saddened to hear that the Wii version isn't the stripped-down port some might have been expecting. The entire campaign is the same as what you'll find on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC versions of the game. Level layouts are maintained, you'll use the same weapons in combat, and the slick cutscenes that help progress the story between chapters are all there. The only key departure is a different take on co-op play; instead of four players playing together online, co-op on the Wii consists of a Squadmate mode where one player plays as normal while a second player is given a crosshair onscreen to chip in with his own gunfire (which feels quite a bit like a retro light gun arcade game).
World at War on the Wii will support online competitive multiplayer complete with the skill-building level and perk system the CoD name has become associated with, though there are a few areas where it's been scaled back. Whereas other versions of the game will see the return of Vehicles to the Call of Duty online experience, the Wii version will be lacking in this department.
Visually, World at War is easily one of the best-looking realistic games on the Wii. While a lot of developers seem to have abandoned realism in favor cartoonish visuals that don't force the Wii into an area that it doesn't necessarily excel in, Treyarch has done a commendable job porting the dense jungles and realistic fire effects that make up so much of the new Pacific theatre setting. Some of this information in the first post is incorrect for the Wii version. The Wii version online only has 4 modes of play and 8 maps to play on. The Wii version does not also have vehicles online but everything else is there and is a balst to play online. Read the offiicial site for more information.
